Speaking during an infuriating interview on MS NOW’s “Chris Jansing Reports” that came on Friday, February 27, Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) declared that he and is fellow Democrats will ensure that President Donald Trump will be subpoenaed to testify before Congress if the Democrats manage to win control of the House in the November midterms.
As background, Lieu is one of the more radically leftist members of an already far-left Democrat coalition. He has repeatedly pushed his far-left ideology, including by threatening President Trump and calling for him to be subpoenaed or otherwise face legal consequences for trying to put his agenda and mandate into practice.
That came when Jansing noted that Bill Clinton had to testify about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and that Republicans will need to “regret” that decision. He said, “Right now in Chappaqua, former president Bill Clinton, as you know, is testifying under oath. You said Republicans will regret setting this precedent. Exactly what we heard from Democratic members before they went in for that deposition this morning.”
Continuing, he pressed Lieu on whether the House Democrats will use the Epstein story and sultry nature of it as a bludgeon against President Donald Trump, asking, “But do you have any reason to believe that Donald Trump would ever testify at Epstein, even if Democrats take control of the House in the fall?”
Responding, Lieu alleged, with absolutely no foundation, that President Trump had been exposed as committing “serious crimes”, an outright lie, given that the main accuser has been repeatedly discredited, saying, “I do. Trump is all over the Epstein files. There are multiple allegations that Trump committed not only crimes, but serious crimes. And when we flip the House, we’re going to subpoena Donald Trump.”
Continuing, he vowed that Democrats would completely regain control of the government in a matter of years, and that once it does so, they will crack down on the president by using the DOJ. He said, “And I do believe that we’re also going to get a trifecta in less than three years. And the Department of Justice is going to be under a Democratic administration, and they can force subpoenas.”
Concluding, he vowed that Trump would not be able to “escape” from facing consequences for being named in the files, which generally just occured because the files included Epstein’s emails and the news emails mentioned Trump, saying, “So Donald Trump is not going to be able to escape the Epstein files. He’ll be forced to testify about it at some point in the future.”

Also, during the same MS NOW interview, Rep. Lieu insisted that he is going after AG Bondi as well, saying, “Attorney General Pam Bondi lied under oath when she appeared before the House Judiciary Committee, and now we learned that she’s also withholding multiple documents that contain allegations that Donald Trump had sexual relations with an underage girl that is in violation of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Attorney general Pam Bondi should be prosecuted for making a false statement under oath and for engaging in an epic cover up.”
He continued, “Now, obviously Pam Bondi is not going to prosecute herself, and that’s why Congressman Dan Goldman and I, both former prosecutors, sent a letter to the Department of Justice requesting that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche appointed special counsel to investigate Pam Bondi, who has committed crimes.”
