The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the Trump administration, allowing the IRS to share taxpayer information with the Department of Homeland Security to facilitate deportations of illegal immigrants. This major judicial win overturns a lower court’s block and affirms that Section 6103 of the Internal Revenue Code includes exceptions for law enforcement, including immigration enforcement.
While irritating activist groups argued this could erode trust in the tax system, supporters hailed it as restoring common-sense inter-agency cooperation. The ruling targets data from ITIN filers, potentially accelerating interior enforcement, though implementation details remain unclear and further appeals are expected.
Announcing to win on social media, Attorney General Pam Bondi declared, “Deporting illegal aliens makes the American people safer. Today’s court decision allowing @USTreasury to share IRS data with @ICEgov is a crucial victory for President Trump’s agenda to Make America Safe Again.”
“It also reaffirms a simple truth: laws set by Congress must be enforced, not undermined by activist judges. Our @TheJusticeDept attorneys will continue fighting and WINNING for @POTUS,” building on this point, she tied the victory to Trump’s agenda.
Celebrating the news, conservative powerhouse Libs of TikTok stated, “BREAKING: U.S. Court of Appeals just ruled IN FAVOR of President Trump’s Treasury Department, determining that IRS can share data with DHS for the purposes of immigration enforcement. LET’S GO!”
Highlighting the absurd situation, one sarcastic comment read, “I’m glad they came to the correct decision. I’m also flabbergasted that it takes a SCOTUS decision to verify that yes, the federal government has the right to ask other parts of the federal government for federal government information collected by the federal government.”
“Thank you. LFG it’s time for hyper drive!!! Dime out your local illegal and open the job market for your fellow Americans! This is our country, not theirs. Let’s start acting like it again!” another relieved conservative posted. Likewise, one user added, “This is huge, this is a sleeper judgment that is going to totally control illegal immigrants within the work system. 100% better than all the rest. Besides election verification.”

Reacting to the great news in a viral post, one conservative influencer stated, “🚨 BREAKING — MASSIVE WIN: US Court rules IN FAVOR of President Trump and Scott Bessent’s IRS sharing data with DHS and ICE to speed deportations,” adding, “LET’S GO, another victory for deportations 🔥 Nothing will slow it down! 🇺🇸”
Reacting on comment read, “Finally, a win for common sense! The IRS sharing addresses with ICE to enforce our immigration laws? About time we prioritize American security over endless lawsuits from open-border activists. Trump’s team is delivering on promises. Let’s keep the momentum going!!!”
Making a sarcastic point, another commenter pointed out the Democrats’ blatant hypocrisy. “Courts keep ruling for Trump. Democrats keep calling it the end of democracy. The end of democracy has a surprisingly consistent legal winning streak,” the message read.
“Obama/Biden appointees on the panel and they STILL ruled for deportations? Even the left-leaning judges know the law’s clear 😂 Massive dub for Trump/Bessent. Deportation train has no brakes now! 🚂🔥,” a celebratory response noted.
