Anti-Trump RINO Discovered to Have Mistress, Her Husband Testifies after She Set Herself on Fire

Adrian Aviles accuses married Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas), a notorious RINO whose seat is under siege from MAGA candidate Brandon Herrera, of abusing power through a 2024 affair with staffer Regina Santos-Aviles, his subordinate and Aviles’ wife. Discovered via sexual texts on May 31, it led to separation and her workplace isolation, along with a horrible incident in which she set herself on fire.

In fact, Santos-Aviles, 35, self-immolated on Sept. 13, 2025, dying the next day. Her widower labeled her horrible death a tragic cry for help amid depression. Gonzales denies any responsibility, praised her work, and blames rival Brandon Herrera for politicizing her death.

Laying out the scandelous details of what happened with his wife and the RINO politician, Adrian Aviles declared,  “I said the truth would come to light when it’s time, and the time is now. Tony abused his power. He should have held himself to a higher standard as a congressional leader.”

“I hope that Tony will stand up and be accountable for his actions,” he added, “I kind of looked over her shoulder, and I saw that she was texting Tony.” He also recounts that his wife told him, “You’re not going to like what you see,” before admitting to texts that were “very sexual in nature.” Responding to a statement from the embattled politician, Aviles “couldn’t bear to sit by” [and listen to Gonzales] “lie on my wife’s name.” He blasted Gonzales for  “denying the fact that he’s ruined somebody’s life.”

In an earlier statement on the incident, Rep. Tony Gonzales claimed that “people throwing rocks at me, saying I’m doing nasty things.” He also claimed that “[T]he rumors are completely untruthful,” before the incriminating messages were made public.

Speaking after the tragic suicide, Gonzales stated, “Ms. Santos-Aviles was a kind soul who devoted her life to making the community a better place. Her efforts led to improvements in school safety, healthcare, and rural water like never before.”

Attempting to turn the attention towards his rival, Gonzales whined, “It’s shameful that [primary rival] Brandon Herrera is using a disgruntled former staffer to smear her memory and score political points, conveniently pushing this out the very day early voting started.”

“My biggest thing is, I wanted her to leave the job,” the grieving husband explained, “When that happened, they black-sheeped her. They severed communications with her. They gave her a month off. They’re essentially trying to push her out … and make her quit.”

He also described how  Santos-Aviles “started spiraling” [in the months after, becoming] “noticeably depressed” [and] “lost.” Adrian Aviles stated,  “She reached out to me, told me she loved me, and that, you know, she wanted to work things out. She wanted her family back.” “I don’t think that it was an intentional act. I think it was a cry for help. It was a cry for help that turned into a tragedy,” he concluded, “I don’t believe that she knew what she was doing. I don’t believe that she knew the true ramifications.”

Reacting to the information on social media, a viral post explained, “It should be noted that Tony Gonzales is one of the least reliable Republicans on immigration in Congress. Throughout the Biden admin, he made a big show of opposing GOP efforts to rein in the WH’s open border policies.”
