During a February 11, 2026, House Judiciary Committee hearing, Rep. Becca Balint (D-VT) questioned Attorney General Pam Bondi to meet with Jeffrey Epstein survivors and address related scandals, including potential ties to Trump officials.
Fighting back, Attorney General Pam Bondi asked why Balint hadn’t challenged figures like Bill Clinton or Merrick Garland on Epstein matters previously. When Bondi accused Balint of supporting antisemitism, the Democrat exploded in anger, calling it outrageous before hastily storming out.
Speaking later to the media, Balint described feeling disgusted, saying she was channeling survivors’ voices and that Bondi’s personal attack was too much, and brought up baseless allegations of DOJ surveillance to excuse her bad behavior.
In any case, the interaction began with Balint bloviating about the recent Epstein scandal. “Do the right thing, Attorney General. Meet with the survivors. They have been asking for a year. Meet with the survivors. Do the right thing,” she whined.
Firing back, Pam Bondi asked, “May I have 20 seconds of his time?… Thank you. I was curious if you, Congresswoman, asked Bill Clinton that. Didn’t hear — didn’t see one tweet, not one! I didn’t see one tweet when Joe Biden was in office about Bill Clinton. Didn’t ask Merrick Garland anything about Epstein, not once, when he was…”
Interjecting, the Democrat yelled, “Weak sauce. Weak sauce.” Carrying on, Bondi stated, “And also, I want the record to reflect that, you know, with this antisemitic culture right now, she voted against a resolution contempt — condemning —”
At this point, Rep Balint exclaimed, “Oh!” and another unidentified source screamed, “She is Jewish, I just want to be clear.” However, Bondi kept going.“From the river to the sea is antisemitic,” she said as Rep Jim Jordan drew attention to the lack of time.

Freaking out, the irritating Democrat yelled, “Do you want to go there, Attorney General?…Do you want to go there? Are you serious…talking about antisemitism to a woman who…lost her grandfather in the Holocaust?” However, the triggered Democrat stormed out of the hearing.
Speaking after the event, Balint explained her freak-out. “So, I walked out because, well, first of all, my time had expired, and I needed to collect myself, quite honestly,” she whined, “And the thing that I want people to understand is I was there in that hearing really channeling all of what I’ve heard from the survivors in the multiple times that I’ve met with them, and I was just so disgusted.”
Still not done, she played the victim card, saying, “And her going after me personally like that was just too much, because the survivors were sitting right there asking for her attention; instead, she chose to accuse me of antisemitism.”

Concluding her comments, she turned to baseless conspiracy theories, caliming, “In retrospect, as I’ve had time to think about that with my team, I think she did that because the Department of Justice had been surveilling us, and so she knew that the files that I had looked at were Secretary Lutnick, and I think she was going to try to go after my line of questioning by attacking me as antisemitic because Howard Lutnick is Jewish.”
