Things got explosive as Attorney General Pam Bondi battled with Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, particularly Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) and Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), skewering both of them as they yelled at and tried to talk over her in a a cacaphony of accusations and snapped insults.
As background, the basis of the hearing was the release of millions of Epstein-connected files by the Pam Bondi-led Department of Justice, with Democrats alleging that Bondi has identified victims in the document release, while not satisfactorily identifying members of Epstein’s circle of alleged evildoers.
However, while the hearing was nominally about Epstein and his circle, it ended up largely just being another feud between Bondi and Democrats. Raskin, for example, berated Bondi by saying, “You’re not showing a lot of interest in the victims. Whether it’s Epstein’s human trafficking ring or the homicidal government violence against citizens in Minneapolis, as attorney general you’re siding with the perpetrators and you’re ignoring the victims.”
Similarly, during another angry exchange during the hearing, one in which Reps. Nadler and Raskin tangled with AG Bondi and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH). In that battle, Raskin angrily accused Jordan and Bondi of filibustering, saying, “You can let her filibuster all day long, but not on our watch — not on our time, no way. And I told you about that, Attorney General, before you started.”
Responding to his taunts and insults, Bondi then erupted at Raskin, snapping, “You don’t tell me anything!” Continuing, she went on to start mocking and taunting Rep. Raskin, snapping that he was a“washed-up, loser lawyer”. She then added that he was “not even a lawyer.”
Turning from Raskin to Nadler as part of the angry exchange, she noted that he had repeatedly lied and mischaracterized past investigations into President Trump, snapping, “You said the president conspired, sought foreign interference in the 2016 election. Robert Mueller found no evidence, none, of foreign interference in 2016.”
Adding to that, she angrily asked, “Have you apologized to President Trump?” And, continuing with her attacks on Nadler and his ilk for their habitual arrogance and dishonesty, she then said, “You all should be apologizing. You sit here and you attack the president, and I am not going to have it. I’m not going to put up with it.”

Still not done, she also feuded with Democrats who have tried to use the Epstein files to attack President Trump after not really caring at all about the matter under President Biden, saying, “None of them asked [former Attorney General] Merrick Garland, over the last four years, one word about Jeffrey Epstein. How ironic is that? You know why? Because Donald Trump.”

AG Bondi also feuded with Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), who accused her of having disclosed the identities of victims while hiding those of perpetrators, an allegation she claimed was untrue. She said, “If any man’s name was redacted that should not have been, we will of course unredact it. If a victim’s name was unredacted, please bring it to us, and we will redact it.”
