The woke left completely lost it after the Trump administration quietly removed a large rainbow flag from Stonewall National Monument in NYC’s Greenwich Village, citing a Department of the Interior directive allowing only American and authorized flags on federal poles.
The decision sparked fury among LGBTQ+ supporters, including Allen Roskoff, who called it “disgusting,” while resident Daniel Mercurio labeled the flag an “American symbol” and criticized it as enforcing a “xenophobic agenda.”
Similarly, controversial Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Council Speaker Julie Menin demanded the flags return, highlighting Stonewall’s role as the birthplace of the modern gay rights movement in hysterical statements attacking the president.
The National Park Service, commenting on the decision to remove the rainbow flag, issued a letter in which explained that there is, “a US Department of the Interior directive only allows for the American flag and other authorized flags to fly on federal poles, with ‘limited exceptions.'”
“It’s disgusting. It’s outrageous,” whined Allen Roskoff, founder of the Jim Owles LGBT Liberal Democratic Club. Likewise, another New Yorker claimed, “The flag isn’t a political symbol, it’s an American symbol,” adding, “I can’t stand seeing the government instituting some obscure flag rule as an excuse to enforce its xenophobic agenda.”
Freaking out about the Trump Administration’s decision, Mayor Zohran Mamdani complained, “New York is the birthplace of the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement, and no act of erasure will ever change, or silence, that history. Our city has a duty not just to honor this legacy, but to live up to it.”
Similarly, Council Speaker Julie Menin alleged, in a total meltdown about the big decision “This decision sends a deeply troubling message, one that shows the world that we are willing to sanitize and erase our history and the very values that make America great.”

Joining the chorus of irritating woke activists, Stacy Lentz, Stonewall co-owner, stated, “I don’t think this is a flag that just represents politics. It really is a historical landmark, and it was made a national monument because it’s the first place of the LGBTQ rights movement. It’s not a political symbol. It’s a historical one.”
A speaker for GLAAD asserted, “The values of inclusion and freedom represented by the Pride flag cannot be erased. The Pride flag and the Stonewall National Monument both exist to commemorate the courage, resilience, and beautiful diversity of our community.”
“Attempts to censor and diminish visibility are tactics that LGBTQ Americans overcame decades ago, and we will continue to defeat them long after these mean-spirited and un-American moves by the Administration have been forgotten. The Pride flag will fly again,” the hysterical activist declared.
“Bad news for the Trump administration: these colors don’t run. The Stonewall Inn & Visitors Centers are still privately owned, their flags are still flying high, and that community is still just as queer today as it was yesterday.” Brandon Wolf, Human Rights Campaign National Press Secretary, bitterly retorted.
Continuing, the woke LGBTQ activist doubled down on the dramatic rhetoric, saying, “While their policy agenda throws the country into chaos, the Trump administration is obsessed with trying to suffocate the joy and pride that Americans have for their communities.”
