Woke CBS Goes Berserk as Trump Massively Expands Deportation Efforts

A report by left-leaning media outlet CBS is complaining that officials within the Trump administration have increased the number of deportations of immigrants without criminal convictions. CBS News then goes on to suggest that President Donald Trump shouldn’t have deported 153,000 illegal aliens who have not been formally convicted of a crime by a jury or a judge.

The deportation figures are, according to other reports, excellent news for the American people, who have experienced a loss of wages and overall wealth due to a flood of foreign workers and renters into their communities, which has also jacked up the cost of rent in many places. CBS News says that less than 14% of the 400,000 immigrants taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents during the first year of Trump’s second term had convictions for charges for violent crimes.

The report did admit that almost 60 percent of that figure did have criminal records; however, they then stated that most of those crimes were not violent in nature. Breitbart News pointed out that the focus of the report on 14% who were convicted of violent crimes while ignoring the 60%, reveals attempts by the mainstream media to cover up crimes committed by illegal aliens.

Breitbart’s report noted that this campaign by the mainstream media relies heavily on journalists who have greater sympathy for illegal migrants than they do Americans, such as Camilo Montoya-Galvez, who is a legal immigrant from Colombia. A fact neglected in CBS News’ piece on the subject is the number of violent crimes that go unsolved or unreported.

The Department of Homeland Security issued a statement concerning CBS’s report on only 14% of arrested illegal aliens being violent, with the White House’s “Rapid Response 47” account on social media saying, “The Fake News seems to think that illegal alien drug traffickers, drunk drivers, burglars, and those with weapons charges — whom they classify as ‘nonviolent’ offenders — should be left alone, allowed to roam freely within the United States. Not under this administration.”

Mainstream media networks like CBS, says Breitbart, are assuming that migrants who don’t currently have convictions are innocent people who have not committed crimes, despite statistics revealing that almost all illegal aliens commit crimes like identity theft, illegal entry, and illegal re-entry. The New York Times admitted in an article that showed sympathy for an illegal couple, “For years, the couple said, Enrique had been using another person’s identity — a common but illegal way for undocumented immigrants to get the paperwork they need to work in the country“.

“They said that not long after arriving in the United States, a friend had helped Enrique use the identity of a Honduran who had work authorization. Last year, the Trump administration moved to end that type of work authorization, making it harder for Enrique to keep using that identity,” the Times continued. The couple reportedly flew a Mexican flag outside their rental home and were able to secure U.S. citizenship for their three children. “We don’t consider ourselves criminals…We consider ourselves working people,” the mother went on to say.

Breitbart notes that despite the family’s claims, they have done damage to the American economy and labor market. While the couple individually might not have caused significant problems, almost 20 million other illegal aliens are engaging in the same practices across the country. Polling shows that Americans are largely in favor of both criminal and non-criminal illegal migrants being deported, however, an important bloc of swing voters are disturbed by footage of deportations.
