In yet more infuriating news out of the far-left sanctuary city of New York, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani threatened to obstruct federal immigration law enforcement efforts in a ridiculous and infuriating speech delivered during the Interfaith Breakfast at the New York Public Library, in which he rolled out a sanctuary city-related executive order.
In fact, during the fury-inducing speech, the self-described “democratic socialist” of a mayor invoked the Islamic concept of Hijrah, a doctrine that he claimed as a being a religious model for mass migration, to help justify mass migration and support the pro-illegal immigration order that will shield illegal aliens from federal enforcement.
During the ridiculous speech, Mandani insisted that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are “visit[ing] terror upon our neighbors,” by which he presumablymeant that illegal aliens are upset about being deported, and insisted that their presence in NYC is like the Biblical rider “atop a pale horse.”
And, insisting that he will ensure, through the executive order he was announcing during the speech, that illegal aliens are shielded from ICE operations, the mayor said, “We will make it clear once again that ICE will not be able to enter New York City property without a judicial warrant. That means our schools, our shelters, and our hospitals.”
Then, getting to the bit where he used Islamic theology to justify mass migration and all the many evils that come from it, Mamdani said, “I consider my own faith, Islam, a religion built upon a narrative of migration. The story of the hijrah reminds us that Prophet Muhammad was a stranger too, who fled Mecca and was welcomed in Medina.”
Continuing, he quoted the Quran passage Surah An-Nahl 16:42, saying, “As for those who immigrated in the cause of Allah after being persecuted, We will surely bless them with a good home in this world”. And, adding to that, he claimed that Mohammed said, “Islam began as something strange and will go back to being strange, so glad tidings to the strangers.”
After having used Islam to justify mass migration, Mamdani said, “If faith offers us the moral compass to stand alongside the stranger, government can provide the resources. Let us create a new expectation of City Hall, where power is wielded to love, to embrace, and to protect. We will stand with the stranger today.”

As could be expected, Republicans were less than happy with the whole thing. Rep. Keith Self, for example, wrote, in an angry post on X about the speech and incident, “Zohran Mamdani is the poster boy for the Islamic jihadists, globalists, and marxists, none of which have any place in America.”
Similarly, TPUSA’s Andrew Kolvet said, “🚨BREAKING: Mamdani has just used taxpayer money to produce 30,000 guides in 10 languages to “protect” illegals from ICE. This is a city government proudly conspiring against federal immigration enforcement. When do actions like this cross into aiding and abetting illegals?”
