The left is already pouring on the hate for First Lady Melania Trump’s new film, Melania, ahead of its January 30 debut, with a number of attacks being coordinated in an effort to do some serious damage to its opening box office over the coming weekend.
Breitbart Entertainment Editor Jerome Hudson recently weighed in on the sickening strategy from the left during an episode of The Alex Marlow Show podcast on the Salem Radio Network, saying, “It’s the kind of freakish, ghoulish activity from the left that you can set your watch to.”
“Specifically the leftist social media machine Occupy Democrats — I hate to say their names but you have to name the devil to shame the devil — it’s one of the largest left-wing platforms on social media,” Hudson further elaborated. “They’re promoting photos cropping up across the country from LA to New York of people defiling the posters that Amazon put up to promote the Melania film.”
“They’re attacking it. They’re indulging the attacks,” Marlow chimed in, adding, “The left is firing up a hate machine in hopes of tanking the movie.” Hudson later pointed out how liberals, along with left-leaning media outlets, treating the first lady poorly is typical behavior and something they’ve taken great pleasure in doing in the past.
One prime example is when Vogue Magazine refused to feature Melania on its cover, despite having done so for former Vice President Kamala Harris, twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and former first lady Michelle Obama.
“This is the same media that has made Melania Trump the most shortchanged First Lady in American history,” Hudson said, according to Breitbart. “To Amazon MGM Studios’ credit they have put up posters in many of the worldwide jurisdictions that the movie is opening in. They lit up the Sphere in Las Vegas with an incredible display to promote the movie and there has been a big media splash in terms of promotion from Amazon. Folks can go see it in theaters this Friday.”
Hudson then said that there’s no reason that the film can’t open and smash its way through the competition to take the number one spot at the box office during its weekend debut, recounting how conservatives have helped push content made by right-wing creators in the past. “We’ve seen this with songs like Aaron Lewis’ ‘Am I the Only One’ and Jason Aldean’s ‘Try That in a Small Town,'” Hudson said.

“So we have proof of concept. When conservatives and American patriots see content that reflects their values we don’t actually need the permission of the elite media to make that content dominate and push into the mainstream,” he concluded. A good example of the kind of stuff being pushed by left-wing outlets comes from a report published by New Republic, which is already calling the documentary a box office flop.
According to the report, the movie, produced by Amazon MGM, is only being projected to bring in a million dollars, compared to the $40 million Amazon spent to get the rights to the film and the $35 million spent on marketing it. The outlet also included alleged accounts from nameless “crew” members who said they were victims of horrible treatment during the film’s making. One of these anonymous sources is alleged to have said, “Unfortunately, if the film does flop…I would really feel great about it.”
