“I’m Anti-Them”: Trump Attacks Super Bowl Over Anti-ICE Half Time Performer “Bad Bunny”, Vows to Not Attend

In a New York Post interview, President Trump announced he will not be attending Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, because it’s “too far away,” despite past positive experiences there. Additionaly, he sharply criticized the halftime performers, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny and rock band Green Day, slamming them as a “terrible choice” that “sows hatred” and declaring himself “anti-them.”

President Trump’s disdain for Bad Bunny ties to the artist’s immigration-themed song mocking U.S. policy. Trump has attended recent major football games, including last year’s Super Bowl and the recent CFP National Championship.

“I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible,” Trump explained, referring to Bad Bunny and Green Day, both infamous woke artists, as halftime performers at the upcoming Super Bowl in California. Adding to his previous comments, he noted, “It’s just too far away. I would. I’ve [gotten] great hands [at] the Super Bowl. They like me.” Explaining his reasoning for skipping the big game, Trump stated, “I would go if, you know, it was a little bit shorter.”

Many critics have pointed to absurd woke lyrics in songs by Bad Bunny, such as one track where the artist sings, “I want to apologize to the immigrants in America. This country is nothing without the immigrants. This country is nothing without Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans.”

Reacting to the situation on social media, one user posted, “Bad Bunny, the anti-Trump, anti-ICE, Puerto Rican rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is reportedly planning to wear a dress to “honor queer icons” during his Super Bowl halftime performance.”

“Definitely will not be watching.. Bad Bunny is enough to make me not wanna watch. Add Green Day to the mix I’ll BOYCOTT the whole game and watched the turning point halftime show,” another noted, expressing common annoyance.

However, some liberals were bitter about the boycott. “Conservatives screaming “BOYCOTT Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show!” while planning to watch the game and just skip the “woke” part? Sounds familiar? It’s the pro-life playbook, protest child sacrifice but allow exceptions and half-measures,” reacted one progressive activist.

Many critics pointed to the artist’s remarks about his intention to parrot woke values at the NFL in their reactions. “Bad bunny plans to “honor queers” during upcoming Super Bowl performance by wearing a dress,” one news post noted.

Responding, one prominent conservative stated, “Start hitting the NFL now. They deserve every bit of blowback from this Bad Bunny disaster.” Agreeing, another noted, “To understand everything that is happening in the world you must look at everything through the lens of demoralization! Then and only then does it all begin to make sense!”

“ESPN showed a pornstar multiple times during the NCAA national championship and now they are doing this? They know exactly what they are doing,” a cynical comment stated. Likewise, one user quipped, “The NFL hates its fan base. I think that fan base should return the favor and not watch…at all. The score will be posted, don’t worry. But if you keep letting these leagues shove their filth down your throat, well, you can’t complain in the end.”
