WATCH: Border Patrol Commander Exposes Absurd Anti-ICE Double Standard

Speaking in a press conference about the ongoing chaos inside Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the absurd double standard that has been used time and time again in an attempt to make federal immigration agents who are just enforcing the law look like tyrants, Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino slammed the “double standard phenomenon”.

Doing so, the brave Border Patrol commander, known for bringing a sleek and powerful presence to operations while also being extremely competent, noted that the hysterics that accompany arrests made by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Border Patrol, and DHS agents don’t accompany normal arrests, as the left can’t get anything out of that.

Particularly, he pointed to just how absurd the whole idea that separating criminals from their families is a bad thing that means arrests ought not be made is, noting that American citizens are arrested and separated from their families all the time. “American citizens that are arrested daily here in Minneapolis, are they separated from their children and families? Absolutely, as they should be. Criminals face consequences,” he said.

Continuing, he noted just how ridiculous the media and left have gotten in their theatrics and hysterics regarding ICE and Border Patrol operations, noting that it is unclear why criminals facing consequences in the context of immigration law enforcement is a peculiarly bad thing. Commander Bovino said, “Criminals face consequences. But yet that double standard does not seem to apply to illegal aliens. Why is that? Perhaps someone could, could detail that for me.”

He then revealed the term he used to refer to the absurdity, particularly the double standard embedded in caring about the arrest of illegal aliens but not the arrest of American citizens. He said, “Because I don’t quite understand all the parameters involved in the DSP: the double standard phenomena.”

Adding to that, he vowed to continue enforcing the law and completing the mission in Minnesota, whatever the DSP hysterics, saying, “So, as we continue this mission here in Minneapolis, we will continue to take these bad people, bad things off the streets despite the DSP, the double standard phenomena, despite the false narrative reporting by many a news media outlets.”

He also posted about the matter on X (formerly Twitter), saying that he will do what it takes to simply hold illegal aliens to the same stardard of facing consequences for breaking the law that normal Americans face. “American citizens recieve consequences when arrested. Time to hold illegal aliens to same standard. #DoubleStandardPhenomenon,” he posted.

In another post, he vowed that cold and snow would not be allowed to get in the way of his men completing their mission, saying, “The #MeanGreen is patrolling Minneapolis through the cold, through the snow, and through it all arresting illegal aliens until the mission is accomplished. We’re here and we’re making the city safe.❄️✅”

And, defending the way that Border Patrol conducts itself and its operations in yet another post, Commander Bovino said, “Border Patrol operations are focused, professional and always effective as we’ve seen in Bakersfield, Los Angeles, Chicago, Charlotte, New Orleans, and now Minneapolis. More to come – stay frosty PAs!!!”
