“This RINO Needs to Retire to a Nursing Home”: RINO Senator Faces Avalanche of Attacks after He Betrays MAGA, Shuts Down Voter ID Bill

Conservatives are furious after a viral post reported that 92-year-old Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) opposes federal voter ID legislation like the SAVE Act, which required proof of citizenship for federal voter registration.

Reacting to the betrayal, many posts branded him a “RINO” and called for retirement, term limits, or primary challenges. Many pointed to his decades in power and history of inaction as typical issues with the GOP, and others drew historical connections.

Breaking the story, a popular post read, “92-year-old Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says he will oppose federal legislation to mandate voter ID, saying he doesn’t think DC needs to interfere in elections despite widespread evidence of fraud in Democrat-run states.”

In the comments, conservatives were upset by the betrayal. “This Rino needs to retire to a nursing home,” one user noted. “Article 1, Section 4. Specifically authorizes Congress to specify time, place and manner of elections.” another pointed out.

Making fun of the RINO, one post joked, “‘Hi, I’m Chuck Grassley. I was born during the Great Depression. People sometimes tell me that geriatrics should step aside to make room for those with more energy and a better knowledge of current conditions … Haha, nnnnnnnnah! Not gonna happen!'”

Pointing to a historical example, a user explained, “The fall of the Roman Republic was caused by a Senate that didn’t address issues. They are purposely leading us down the same path? Probably not. But the result will be the same.” Agreeing, another added, “Congress must implement voter ID to protect the validity of our electoral process.”

“Spineless Republicans are as responsible for this country’s demise as deranged leftists are. They call themselves conservatives but only exist to conserve leftist gains. Truly a treasonous lot,” an enraged conservative noted.

Many users called for term limits. “Why is there a 92 year old Senator, we need term limits, age limits and he is absolutely wrong we desperately need voter ID!!!!!” an angry response noted. “He’s 92 years old. If he’s starting to consider how he’ll continue to vote once he passes away, then this makes sense,” another joked.

Similalry enraged, one user stated, “The fact is that Chuck Grassley has done nothing about open borders for decades, so why would he oppose illegal aliens voting with the Save Act? He’s part of the Cheap Labor Express. He wants the Democrats to hurt Trump by winning in November.”

Continuing the condemnation, another added, “Hit list: Chuck Grassley has chosen not to support the SAVE Act. Voters deserve to know where their representatives stand when election integrity is at stake.” Additionally, the same post featured the senator’s comments on the issue: “I do not believe that Iowa and other states need politicians in Washington, D.C. dictating and controlling how states run their elections.”

“I understand that many Americans have concerns about our nation’s election integrity. As your senator, you can rest assured that I will continue to work in the Senate to improve election integrity and will keep your thoughts in mind going forward,” he claimed.
