Hegseth Praised for Skewering “Disgraceful” Fox News “Deep State Mouthpiece” [WATCH]

In a now-infamous June 26, 2025, Pentagon press conference, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth defended the U.S. B-2 bomber strikes on Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility, describing decisive hits and casting aside doubts. Additionally, he clashed with Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin, his former colleague, labeling her “about the worst” for allegedly intentionally misrepresenting the Trump administration, while commenters online skewered her for being part of the “Deep State”.

Fighting back, Griffin defended her accurate reporting on the mission. Hegseth also dismissed a question on acknowledging female pilots after using “our boys and bombers,” rejecting “race and gender” obsessions. When the news reached social media, conservatives mocked the unpopular Fox News reporter.

“There’s nothing that I’ve seen that suggests that what we didn’t hit exactly what we wanted to hit in those locations,” Pete Hegseth responded to an irritating question from Griffin. Nonetheless, she continued her objections, snapping, “It’s about highly enriched uranium. Do you have certainty that all the highly enriched uranium was inside the Fordow mountain, or some of it because there were satellite photos that showed more than a dozen trucks there two days in advance. Are you certain none of that highly enriched uranium was moved?”

“Of course, we’re watching every single aspect, but Jennifer, you’ve been about the worst, the one who misrepresents the most intentionally,” Secretary of War Hegseth answered, adding, “I’m familiar,” with these allegations. Interrupting, Jennifer Griffin whined, “And in fact, I was the first to describe the b2 bombers, the refueling, the entire mission, with great accuracy,” prompting a hilarious retort from the well-loved Trump cabinet member.

Sarcastically firing back, Hegesth stated, “I appreciate you acknowledging that this was the first operation, the most successful mission based on operational security that this department has done since you’ve been here. And I appreciate that. I appreciate that. So we’re looking at all aspects of intelligence and making sure we have a sense of what was where.”

Reacting to the clip on social media, one user quipped, “Jennifer Griffin of fox has been deep State mouthpiece for years. She’s absolutely disgraceful. It was glorious to see.” Agreeing another noted, “🔥Hegseth just NUKED this reporter.” Another, chiming in with much the same allegation about Griffin’s loyalties, said, “Jennifer is a Deep State puppet”.

Yet another commenter on the post hammered the reporter for being a propagandist, snapping, “Jennifer Griffin is the absolute worst and has been for years. Straight Pentagon propaganda day in and day out for years. She finally got called out‼️” On much the same note, another said, “I speak for everyone—nobody likes @JenGriffinFNC! She’s been going after Pete from day one, starting with that pathetic hit on his ‘renovations.’ Truly disgusting people.”

Still another, commenting on how Hegseth had exposed the ridiculous journalist, said, “Excellent, Hegseth hit the nail on the head. Jennifer from Fox News is the worse reporter there. Her mean spirited comments have always been anti-Trump. She deserved the review she received from Secretary Hegseth. Bravo Pete!”
