Melting down in epic fashion, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), the first Palestinian-American woman in Congress and a vocal critic of U.S. immigration enforcement under the new Trump administration, had an emotional breakdown at a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) post on X.
For context, the original post featured an image of a B-2 stealth bomber over a cowboy with the caption “We’ll Have Our Home Again.” Losing her composure, Tlaib spouted meaningless woke platitudes: “As a Muslim, as a Palestinian, as a child of immigrants, I see… I’m not welcome here.”
When the clip went viral on social media, conservatives blasted the out-of-touch comments. Many threw her past comments back in the Democrats’ face and questioned her loyalty to America, given her opposition to immigration enforcement.
Starting off the clips, the irritating Democrat whined, “Look at this, ‘we’ll have our home again.’ What does that evoke in you when you see this?… When I see it as a Muslim-a, as a Palestinian, as a child of immigrants, I see that this is something that is evoking, like, I’m not welcome here. It is very clear what is intentionally happening here.”
Reacting to the fact that video Tlaib was having a meltdown over a popular social media meme, hunting guide and veteran Braxton McCoy posted, “The Pax meme made it into the congressional record. Incredible. Posters in control.”
Another popular post read, “Rashida Tlaib is crying on live TV over a DHS post saying, ‘we’ll have our home again.” In the comments under this post, one user reacted, “She called herself “a Muslim, a Palestinian, a child of immigrants”. She doesn’t even claim to be American even though she was born here,” adding, “Supporting the immigration of cultures who have no desire to assimilate with the American way of life is suicidal for our country.”
“Americans deserve to feel pride in our identity, and it doesn’t have to be contingent upon how various immigrant groups feel about it,” another comment noted. Irritated, a conservative quipped, “We Americans can’t have our home again, but Palestinians like her have a permanent right to Gaza and the West Bank. You can’t have it both ways.”

Laying out this situation, a commentator asserted, “Rashida should take the hint. She is a paper American. Rashida is clearly not a real American.” Likewise, one response declared, “A word to Rashida Tlaib, you are correct, you are NOT welcome here any longer!”

Upset, another irritated comment stated, “I hope this happens more and more. She’s not wanted, she has a homeland to go to, her ideas and beliefs are not compatible with Liberty.” Pointing out an interesting detail, a comment asked, “Outstanding. And “Muslima?” She affixes a Latina gender qualifier to an Arabic word? Weird. But yes, Congresswoman- you are correct. You are very much “not welcome here.” Bye.”
