Trump Scores Major Economic Win for Americans with Mass Deportations, New Data Reveals

According to a recent data sharing post from the White House, ICE deportations under President Trump are significantly lowering U.S. housing costs by reducing illegal migrant populations. According to data from the post, listed home prices declined year-over-year in December in 14 of the top 20 metro areas with large illegal migrant populations, while modest increases occurred only in sanctuary cities.

Building on this point, the data shows sharp rent drops in San Antonio due to overbuilt apartments built for migrants, contrasted with slight increases in Seattle. Reading this news, officials like Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, VP JD Vance, and HUD Secretary Scott Turner attribute prior spikes to Biden-era mass migration, arguing that deportations ease demand and benefit Americans through supply-and-demand dynamics.

Announcing the great news, the official White House “Rapid Response 47” social media account posted, “Mass deportations = lower housing costs for Americans,” adding,  “FACT: In 14 of the top 20 metro areas with the largest illegal migrant populations, home list prices DECLINED year-over-year in December. The three metro areas that saw modest price increases are all ‘sanctuary cities.'”

Offering more context on the huge success and how cracking down on mass immigration has brought it about, Kevin Lynn, founder of U.S. Tech Worker, said, “When you crack down on immigration, legal and illegal, housing costs naturally drop. Supply and demand, baby.”

Adding to that, Lynn offered a big example to prove his point. “Here in Lancaster County, which was dubbed the refugee capital of America by the BBC,” he explained, “I was going down Prince Street, and there’s a [remodelled building] with very nice little one-bedroom apartments [with signs saying] ‘First Three Months [Rent] Free!’ That’s what happens … when you take the immigrants out of the equation.”

Celebrating the encouraging data, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent declared, “Rents are down … [because] the mass unfettered immigration … pushed up rents, especially for working Americans.” Similarly, Housing and Urban Development Secretary (HUD) Scott Turner pointed out, “Because of illegal immigration, because of people coming to our country, prices have risen, supply has been squeezed.”

Rounding out the comments from the Trump government on the big victory, Vice President JD Vance said, “The connection between illegal immigration and skyrocketing housing costs is as clear as day.” However, despite the overwhelming data and strong arguments from the GOP, liberals have kept up their unpopular open borders rhetoric.

Of course, the radical left has remained unrepentantly pro-mass migration even in the face of these big Trump victories. Issuing a classic, out-of-touch statement, Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson whined, “My message to our immigrant neighbors: This is your city, you should be safe here, and I’m determined to make it that way,” refusing to accept any responsibility.

In the comments under the White House’s initial post, conservatives celebrated the news. “Knew this would happen. Illegals have become big business for real estate investors. Once they leave, the American dream will become more attainable, one user added.

Pointing out another relevant feature, one woman said, “Yep! @JDVance said this in an interview in 2024 and the Democrats and legacy media tried silencing him before the election.” Building on the last comment, a conservative quipped, “Things get much, much better with fewer and fewer illegal alien invaders. And make no mistake, they’re invaders. They have come here without permission.”
