“You Don’t Want this Smoke!”: Sanctuary City Sheriff Threatens to Arrest ICE [WATCH]

In the latest round of infuriating but also very entertaining messaging out of America’s sanctuary cities, the Philadelphia Sheriff, a woman named Rochelle Bilal, shouted about and threatened agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), declaring that they are “fake” law enforcement officers and declaring that she would arrest them.

For reference, Sheriff Bilal’s freakout was sparked by an ICE agent shooting and killing a woman named Renee Good when she allegedly tried to run him over during a protest in Minneapolis. In the wake of the shooting, which most conservatives argued was fully justified, state and national Democrats went absolutely berserk and insinuated, in one way or another, that ICE had randomly executed a liberal protester for no reason.

Such seemed to be the perspective from which Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal was operating when, during her berserk meltdown and threats against ICE she insisted that ICE is  “madeup, fake, wannabe law enforcement,” adding as she did so that ICE’s operations violate both “legal law” and “moral law.”

Specifically, in the wake of Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner saying that federal law enforcement officials who commit crimes in Philadelphia will be arrested and charged by his office, the sheriff vowed that that would be the case and that she would be involved in enforcing it.

She said, declaring that she would be enforcing his decision to arrest ICE agents, “So I’m with the DA!” She added, rambling in what amounted to near-gibberish, “You don’t want this smoke. Cuz we will bring it to you!” She then further insisted that “the criminal in the White House would not be able to keep” ICE agents from going to jail on her watch.

Billal’s claim that ICE is “fake” law enforcement came as she rambled about the shooting, bizarrely insisting, contrary to all evidence, “Law enforcement professionals do not shoot at moving vehicles. I’m not saying fleeing, because she wasn’t fleeing, she was getting out of the way. Law enforcement professionals do not stand in front of moving vehicles, invoking an action that is illegal.”

Continuing, and getting to the ridiculous claim about the highly trained and very effective agents in ICE being “fake”, she said, “No, we don’t. And so we stand here today with all those who stand against the made-up, fake ― what you can call ICE, professional law enforcement ― I don’t call ’em none of that.”

She further snapped, using her ridiculous appeals to made-up law to justify engaging in what many on the right argue amounts to insurrection against the Trump-controlled federal government, “I call them made-up, fake, wannabe law enforcement. Because what they do is against not only legal law, but the moral law.”

    Watch her here:

Bilal previously said, back in November, that her office would refuse to work with ICE, saying, as the Huffington Post reports, “Let me be very clear: The Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office does not partner with ICE.” She added, “Our deputies do not assist ICE, share information, or participate in immigration enforcement. Our responsibility is to maintain safety and security inside the courthouses for everyone.”
