In a horrible and chilling incident in Minnesota on Wednesday, January 7, an agent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was allegedly attacked by a “legal observer” who is accused of trying to run him over with her car, sending him to the hospital, and defended himself with deadly force. In response, Democrats, including Chuck Schumer and AO,C went berserk and attacked the agent.
President Trump, posting about the matter on Truth Social, stood by the agent and argued that it was a clear case of necessary self-defense. “I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a horrible thing to watch. The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense,” the president said.
Continuing, he wrote that the agent was hospitalized by the attack, saying, “Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital. The situation is being studied, in its entirety, but the reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis. They are just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE. We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate!”
Democrats, on the other hand, went berserk. Commenting on the incident to the media, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) implied that ICE was at fault, saying, “Well, I saw the video. It just turns your stomach. We need a quick and full investigation to get to the bottom of this. But when you have these ICE agents all over the streets of our cities without any cooperation with local law enforcement, local communities, tragedies, horrible tragedies, killings occur.”
Continuing, the Senate Minority Leader argued, “Well, I’ve never been for ICE going into our cities, period. It doesn’t belong there, and the mayors and county executives and others throughout the country believe they can handle it much better themselves than having people from the outside come in.”
Then, when asked, “What’s your message for the protesters down there? Should they remain civil?” he replied by praising the protesters who are seemingly trying to intimidate ICE into not doing its job, saying, “Well, of course, there should never be violence, but there should be protest. Is an American right, and when things like this happen, people feel the need to protest and their right to do it. We salute them doing it.”

AOC was even more vitriolic in her comments on what happened, insisting that ICE was becoming an anti-immigrant paramilitary force. She snapped, “ICE is not just becoming an anti-immigrant force in this country. It is becoming an anti-civilian paramilitary organization.”
Continuing, she insisted that Americans are being swiped off the streets for no real reason, saying, “People are getting taken off of the streets for exercising their free speech rights.” She added, “This has now turned into what our greatest fear is…that this will be used as an anti-civilian force, that it has no accountability.” She concluded, “What we saw today is a murder.”
