Speaking during a Friday, December 26 interview on “MS NOW Reports” with the network formerly called MSNBC, far-left Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) declared that the deportations program that President Donald Trump has engaged in is a massive waste of “hundreds of millions of dollars,” something with which most of America very much disagrees.
As background, the deportations have so far been one of the more effectively carried out parts of the Trump agenda. A combination of cracking down on welfare programs, launching massive ICE raids targeting workplaces, and sweeping arrests has so far led to the exodus of about 2.5 million illegal aliens, about 600,000 of whom have been deported and 1.9 million have chosen to self-deport, as the Department of Homeland Security revealed in a press release.
Rep. Wasserman Schultz went ballistic over that campaign against illegal immigration, ridiculously claiming that ICE is torturing detained illegal aliens and that the deportations are a waste of money. She began, “The reports out of the immigration detention centers that we’re hearing, even without the Washington Post report, have credible threats of torture, credible reports of torture.”
Continuing with the pearl-clutching about the woke media’s reports of conditions inside the facilities, the woke congresswoman then insisted, “We have immigrants who are dying in these detention centers. The conditions are horrific. I can confirm that, having gone to the Everglades detention center, where I sponsored legislation to have it shut down.”
Yet more absurdly, she then went on to insist that Trump is fulfilling his pledges to deport illegal aliens simply to hide from the supposed economic weakness currently present in America, saying, “This is a situation where Donald Trump wants to draw people’s attention away from the fact that life in America under his presidency is unaffordable, skyrocketing health care costs, which are about to get worse in four days from now when the enhanced premium tax credits expire, increasing rents and unacceptably high utility rates.”
Insisting yet again upon that, she snapped, “So, of course, scapegoating the vulnerable is what this is about. But we need to make sure that there is transparency and sunlight on what’s going on in these detention centers. And we need to hold him to his promise, where he lied and said at the beginning of his term this year that he was going to go after the worst of the worst. That is the furthest thing from what’s happening.”
Adding to that by rambling about waste, the woke member of Congress then declared that unleashing Customs and Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on illegal aliens is a wasteful way to spend tax dollars, as if stopping and reversing an invasion isn’t the primary purpose of government.

She said, “America first to me means taking care of people at home and making life affordable when it comes to rent and health care and utilities, and ensuring that they, that Americans can keep the better life that they deserve, not have Trump go after people and waste millions of dollars, hundreds of millions of dollars deporting people from this country.”
