President Trump keeps winning and winning, and Democrats are as angry about it and envious of him as ever, as was shown by far-left Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) totally losing it during an appearance on CNN, insisting that the Trump Administration is totally imploding despite vast evidence to the contrary.
For reference, the comments from Rep. Raskin, a longtime enemy of President Trump’s, came when he appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” program with host Kasie Hunt. His attacks on Trump came despite the bevy of good news for the Trump Administration as of late, from a far-better than expected GDP growth and inflation report and polling showing the president being quite popular again.
In any case, Raskin’s lie about the state of the president’s administration was precipitated by Hunt, who asked him about the recent Democrat attempt to impeach the president, one which failed. She said, “I’d like to turn to politics because, as you mentioned, that vote, that impeachment vote, did fail on the floor of the House.”
Continuing, Hunt asked if House Democrats are going to try impeachment yet again if they manage to retake the House, asking, “If Democrats retake the House in the fall, which is looking increasingly likely next fall in the midterm elections, do you think impeaching the president should be something the House looks at?”
Responding, Rep. Raskin responded off the cuff with an attack on President Trump about the very vague topic of “information” that is supposedly being “withheld”, snapping, “I mean, right now we are all 100% absorbed in trying to do the work of getting information out that’s being withheld by Trump and then going out and campaigning around the country.”
Continuing, he rattled off the names of a couple of random Democrats, as if helping them is what Hunt asked about, saying, “I mean, I’ve been in Ohio with Emilia Sykes and Marcy Kaptur. I’ve been in Texas. I’ve been in Michigan with Hillary Scholten and Debbie Dingell. I’ve been in New Jersey with people. I’m campaigning all over the country.”
Then, finally turning from that to the question, he refused to give a straight answer to it and instead vagely commented on running on other things, saying, “So when people say, well, we want to impeach everybody for all these high crimes and misdemeanors, I say, okay, create your file, create your case, and we’ll deal with it, but we’re certainly not running on that.”

Continuing on that point, he said, “We’re running on delivering health care to the American people and trying to restore the government as an instrument for the common good for everybody, as opposed to being an instrument for the private self-enrichment of the guy who gets in and his family and his friends, and that’s all we’re seeing right now.”
That’s when Raskin got to his lie. Ignoring the recent polling showing the president’s popularity has shot up dramatically, he insisted that it is “sinking like a stone” and the administration is “collapsing”, both of which claims were outright lies. He said, “And this is why the president’s poll numbers are sinking like a stone. Their administration is collapsing in a lot of ways. They’ve got no program for the American people.”
