Speaking during a public speech event in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on the night of Friday, December 19, President Donald Trump sounded off on the Obamacare disaster that has been foisted on America by the Democrats. The speech came alongside the president’s speech in which he revealed his plans to push down the costs of healthcare in America.
During his speech in Rocky Mount, the president delivered a rousing tirade against the impacts of Obamacare on the American people and the medical industry, saying that it was essentially a giveaway to the insurance companies to pad their bottom lines. He said, “The current Unaffordable Care Act, commonly known as Barack Hussein Obamacare, was created to make insurance companies rich.”
Adding to that, the president noted that the state of healthcare in America has gotten much worse since Obamacare was passed, reiterating his point that the cost has rocketed up tremendously as well. He said, “It was bad health care at much too high a cost, and you see now that the steep increase in premiums — it’s being demanded by the Democrats.”
Continuing on the same point, the president said that the bill had been passed to help out the insurance companies, and had put them firmly in control of the Democrats. He said, “It was never any good, Obamacare. It was done for the benefit of insurance companies, which totally control the Democrats.”
Emphasizing that same point about how the insurance companies are controlled by the Democrats, the president explained that the Democrats and big companies are on the same side, saying, “That’s why you could have a strike on January 30. You could have another shutdown, because the Democrats are totally in the hands of they’re totally controlled by the insurance companies, big wealthy companies.”
Then, turning from that point to what his plan is to fix the situation, the president explained that he wants the American people to be able to buy their own healthcare and do so at a lower price than is presently the case. He said, “Again, I want the money to go directly to the people, so you can buy your own health care, and you’ll get much better health care at a much lower price. And the only losers will be the insurance companies that have gotten rich.”

That speech came shortly after the president said, during an event in the White House, “I’m going to call a meeting. It could be in Florida this coming week, or it could be back in the White House the first week, not the second or third week. I’m going to call a meeting of the big insurance companies that have gotten so rich by receiving money, and really much, far, far more money than they’re entitled to.”
He added, “And I have a feeling maybe if they would act like these incredible, brilliant, responsible citizens behind me, people that love our country and they love the world. I mean, frankly…these are international companies for the most part. I’m going to call a meeting of the insurance companies. I’m going to see if they get their price down. To put it very bluntly, and I think that is a very big statement, and what happened here is the biggest statement of all, because nobody thought a thing like this was possible.”
