ICE is cracking down on migrant-related crime in Minnesota, particularly the massive fraud schemes connected to the Somali migrants in the state, and as part of that appears to have pulled over Rep. Ilhan Omar’s son to see if he was a citizen or otherwise in the United States legally. As could be expected, she raised a hissy fit over the matter.
For reference, Rep. Omar’s comments on the matter when she appeared on CBS News Minnesota to talk about the situation generally, with ICE agents flooding into Somali migrant communities in Minnesota to search out fraudsters and those who are here illegally so that they can be detained and deported.
That then led to some of the ICE agents pulling over her son when he was at Target, and he apparently used his passport to show he is a US citizen. Commenting on that to the media int he interview, Rep. Omar angrily said, “At Target, he did get pulled over by ICE agents, and once he was able to produce his passport ID, they did let him go.”
Following up, the reporter asked her why he brought his passport to Target if he was just shopping, asking, “So your son went to Target last night with his passport?” The congresswoman responded by saying, “He always carries it with him in case he gets pulled over . . . which he did by ICE.”
That wasn’t all. During the same interview, Omar commented on how focused on her President Trump supposedly is, snapping, “It is really disturbing and creepy to have the president of the United States be obsessed with you and those who share your ethnicity. I know that he is deflecting from the failures of his presidency.”
Continuing, she bizarrely insisted that Trump is trying to use Somalis to cover up his operation targeting the drug boats in the Caribbean, saying, “He’d rather scapegoat us than answer for why people can’t afford their lives, why he has not fulfilled his promise of creating a more affordable America. He doesn’t want to answer for the possible war crimes of shooting down those boats in the Caribbean.”
She then also, ridiculously, accused him of both harming farmers and of trying to protect pedophiles, ignoring both how farmers have been thanking him for saving them and that the Epstein files are being released. She said, “He does not want any conversations about releasing the Epstein files. He wants to continue to protect pedophiles, and he certainly doesn’t want to answer for why soybean farmers are struggling here under the weight of not just tariffs, but the fact that he bailed out Argentina to the tune of $40 billion.”

Concluding, she then insisted that the president is using “bigotry” to cover up the supposed failures of his administration, ignoring that much of what MAGA sees is success. She said, “And so what does he do when he doesn’t want to really answer the questions about the failures of his administration? He cues the bigotry, and we know this playbook.”
