WATCH: Melania Stuns and President Trump Quotes from the Bible During Incredible Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

At the 2025 National Christmas Tree Lighting on December 4, 2025, President Trump delivered a rare sentimental message, declaring love for “all 350 million” Americans after invoking Jesus’ birth and the sanctity of every child.

Despite President Trump’s moving and faith-based comments, all eyes were on First Lady Melania Trump, with many commenting on her timeless elegance and style. The president theatrically counted down and bestowed honors on his wife, who then illuminated the elaborate tree, and stunned all watchers with her beauty as she did so.

Additionally, President Trump paid tribute to the two National Guard troopers who were shot by an Afghan “refugee” in a horrific attack just days before the tree-lighting ceremony. He also touted achievements: secure borders, restored spirit, thriving economy, and halted inflation.

Starting off his comments, Trump began by mentioning Scripture. “With the birth of Jesus, human history turned from night to day. His word and his example call us to love one another, to serve one another and to honor the sacred truth that every child is specially made in the image of God,” the president exclaimed

Continuing his masterful speech, Trump thanked the citizens of America, saying,  “I want to pay my deepest respect and love to all of our great citizens, like 350 million people. We love them all, whether you like them or not. We love them all. We want to take care of everybody. We have to take care of everybody in our country.”

Pivoting to a more serious issue, he kept going. “I want to pay my highest respects to those two great guardsmen, you know who I’m talking about,” adding, “They paid, in one case, the ultimate and the other, Andrew [Wolfe], is getting better. Sarah [Beckstrom], unfortunately, is watching from a high, watching from heaven.”

Turning his attention to the surviving guardsman, Trump added, “Parents are so incredible, and Andrew is hopefully getting better. I spoke with the parents and met the parents today by the parents of Andrew, and they have spirit, and they love our country so much, you wouldn’t believe.”

Concluding his soaring speech, Trump said, “As a nation, we have much to be grateful for. On this holiday season, our border is secure. Our spirit is restored.” Bringing his comments to a close, the president said, “Our economy is thriving. Inflation has stopped. Our nation is strong, and America is back, bigger and better, stronger, better than ever before.”
