Pam Bondi Doubles Down, Vows to Continue Attacking James Comey and Letitia James after Rogue Judge Throws Their Cases Out

In an absolutely infuriating ruling, United States District Judge Cameron Currie dismissed the criminal indictments against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James, ridiculously ruling that the prosecutor who brought the cases had not been lawfully appointed. AG Bondi did not back down in the wake of the ruling, and instead vowed to keep up the legal attacks on the two Deep State hacks.

As background, Judge Currie’s ruling found that Comey’s defense was correct in arguing that Halligan’s appointment as interim US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia was invalid, and thus that the indictments against both Comey and James were defective, and had to be tossed out.

Ruling as much, Judge Currie ridiculously wrote, “I conclude that the Attorney General’s attempt to install Ms. [Lindsey] Halligan as Interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia was invalid and that Ms. Halligan has been unlawfully serving in that role since September 22, 2025.”

Adding to that ridiculous ruling, Judge Currie wrote, “The implications of a contrary conclusion are extraordinary. It would mean the Government could send any private citizen off the street — attorney or not — into the grand jury room to secure an indictment so long as the Attorney General gives her approval after the fact. That cannot be the law.”

Bondi, speaking at an event in Memphis in which she highlighted the work of the anti-crime task force deployed to the city, the “Safe Task Force.” She said, commenting on the matter, “We’ll be taking all available legal action, including an immediate appeal to hold Letitia James and James Comey accountable for their unlawful conduct.”

Continuing, AG Bondi insisted that Comey’s crimes were serious and so she is not worried about eventually being able to bring charges against him that stick, saying, “I’m not worried about someone who has been charged with a very serious crime. His alleged actions were a betrayal of public trust.”

Additionally, AG Bondi argued that the appointment of Halligan was done perfectly properly and thus Judge Currie’s ruling is utterly absurd and incorrect, and will be overturned on appeal. She said, “We have made Lindsay Halligan a special US attorney so she is in court, she can fight in court just like she was, and we believe we will be successful on appeal.”

Further, AG Bondi noted that Halligan has been an excellent US attorney, saying, “And I’ll tell you, Lindsay Halligan, I talked to all of our US attorneys, the majority of them around the country, and Lindsay Halligan is an excellent US attorney. And shame on them for not wanting her in office. Thank you.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt fired back at Judge Currie’s obscene and absurd ruling as well, saying, “We believe the attorney in this case, Lindsey Halligan, is not only extremely qualified for this position but she was in fact legally appointed. And I know the Department of Justice will be appealing this in very short order.”
