In a pathetic attempt to disparage the officers who keep the country safe, a Chicago store owner denied service to ICE and CBP agents. Speaking to local media, the entitled businessman whined about the fact that some of his workers were deported in sweeping raids across the city.
For context, although ICE has departed Charlotte, NC, after weeks in Chicago, local activists are still melting down over the enforcement operations in the city. However, Greg Bovino refused to be cowed and doubled down on his mission.
According to a local journalist, “Bovino and other agents were refused service by the owner. Last week, the men in his shop were quickly turned away.” Explaining his reasoning, the entitled shopkeeper declared, “I told him, we’re not serving. I told him this was private property and he had to leave. ”
Apparently, the interaction, which the store owner described as surreal, was due to a previously deported employee; “They’ve caused a scene you’d only see in a movie. An employee is still detained. We’re hoping he gets released.”
In any case, posting an update on the brave raids into Chicago, Bovino noted, “All day, every day. We will not allow criminal illegal aliens to take over American communities. We will continue to track down illegal aliens in Los Angeles, Chicago, or any other city we choose. That is the way THIS team operates.”
Reacting to woke activists, he defended the agents against claims that they had overstepped their authority. Defending one incident which involved a helicopter, he clarified, “A lot of people said that was a little too much. Well, exactly how would they intend to get a safety element onto the roof to make it safe for those going into that apartment or the neighboring buildings? I’m proud to say that that went off about as good as it possibly can.”
Continuing his comments, Bovino kept up his defence. “You know, there’s many different factors that go into something like that. It would be agent experience, intelligence that indicates there’s illegal alienage in a particular place or location,” he said.

Building on this point, the CBP official said, “Then obviously the particular characteristics of an individual, how they look. How do they look compared to, say, you? … So, a lot of different things that go into that, and then you’ve also got that agent experience and knowledge.”
However, woke activists, such as the Little Village Community Council President Baltazar Enriquez, were unimpressed. “They’re definitely nervous, definitely concerned,” said the organizer. “We are talking to our brothers and sisters over in North Carolina, in Charlotte, and letting them know the tactics that we used, the methods that we used, what worked what didn’t work.”

Concluding the biased operative noted, “We’re still seeing operatives in Little Village, we’re still patrolling the neighborhood. Because we know they’re coming back, and we know they’re still going to be here in Chicago.”
