In a clip that went viral on social media, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), clearly upset that the government shutdown had ended, attacked Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. She complained about the eight Senate Democrats who made the controversial votes, joined by two retiring members. Making a vague threat, she noted how many of these policies will soon face elections.
Continuing her comments, she complained about feeling unrepresented and urged nationwide primary participation this cycle to reshape the political landscape. Making her intentions clear, AOC emphasized that Senate primaries present a crucial opportunity for voters to demand change.
In any case, she began by making it clear that she sees Schumer as an issue. “I think what is so important for folks to understand is that this problem is bigger than one person, and it actually is bigger than the Minority Leader in the Senate,” AOC said.
Describing the situation which led to the government shutdown ending, Cortez alleged, “You had eight Senate Democrats who coordinated this, their own votes on this as well as you have two retiring members, many of them who are up and are also up in several cycles from now, with the hope that people are going to forget this moment.”
Making it clear that she views the DNC as deeply comprimosed, the New York representative claimed, “And I think what’s important is that we understand that this is actually this is not just a leader, is reflected as a reflection of the party, and Senate Democrats have selected their leadership to represent them, and so the question needs to be bigger than just one person.”
Sending a clear message, she continued her remarks to the reporter. “We have several Senate primaries this cycle. I know I’m being asked about New York that is years from now, after my my own constituents, because they think that this election is this year,” AOC whined.
Concluding her comments, the far-left congresswoman said, “We actually do have Senate elections this year, and my hope is that people across this country actually participate in their primary elections, in selecting their leadership. Thank you.”

For progressive Democrats like AOC, the decision to extend healthcare to illegal immigrants proved to be a central sticking point in ending the government shutdown. Speaking about this absurd concern, Cortez whined, “The average monthly SNAP benefit is $177 a person. The average ACA benefit is up to $550 a person/mo.”
Still not done, the entitled Democrat alleged, “People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives. Working people want leaders whose word means something.”

Offering a different take, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to announce his plan. “I am recommending to Senate Republicans that the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars currently being sent to money sucking Insurance Companies in order to save the bad Healthcare provided by ObamaCare, BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE, and have money left over. In other words, take from the BIG, BAD Insurance Companies, give it to the people, and terminate, per Dollar spent, the worst Healthcare anywhere in the World, ObamaCare,” Trump noted.
