Speaking in a powerful press event outside the White House, Trump Administration Border Czar Tom Homan went absolutely nuclear on Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, accusing them of telling lies about the brave agents in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
For reference, the incident occurred in September of this year, and came after Governor Healey accused ICE of trying to intimidate illegal alien Christians by parking an ICE cruiser out of St. Ignacius Church in Boston as it delivered a Spanish language service, an incident that Tom Homan argued was totally misrepresented and the sort of lie that is putting ICE agents at risk.
Governor Healey, for reference, claimed, “ICE agents were parked outside on the street. Why are they parked outside of a church on a Sunday where people are going to worship and pray? It’s because they’re doing this to intimidate and to create fear.” Mayor Wu made similar claims.
Homan fired back with a vengeance during his White House press event, insisting that Mayor Wu and Governor Healey are putting ICE agents at risk with their incendiary claims. He said, “That is a big part of the reason why there’s a 1,000% increase on assaults on ICE agents!” He further noted that what Gov. Healey and Mayor Wu were claiming was “a bold-faced lie!”
Calling out the two officials and shaming them for their calumnious lies about ICE agents and ICE operations, saying, “Shame on Gov. Healey and Mayor Wu. Shame on both of them. They should be calling the White House thanking Trump, thanking ICE for making the community safer. Instead, they go on TV and lie about ICE and make these accusations.”
And, after rattling off a list of illegal aliens who had been arrested by ICE as part of its operations in the city and found to have committed awful crimes, Mr. Homan noted, “This is what ICE is doing across the country. They’re targeting the worst of the worst and making this country safe again.”
Further, commenting on how the brave agents in ICE are serving their country every day even though their lives are at risk, Mr. Homan said, “The men and women of ICE, they’re mothers and fathers too. They don’t hang their heart on a hook when they come to work every day. They put themselves in harm’s way to go look for the worst of the worst.”

For reference, the incident and freakout from the city about it came as ICE agents conducted a major surge in the Boston area alongside other federal agents, with the operation having led to 1500 arrests at the time of Border Czar Homan’s feud with the mayor and governor. The operation was called Operation Patriot 2.0.
Mr. Homan has called out Mayor Wu before. For example, earlier in the year, as a showdown with her and her sanctuary city looked likely, the border czar declared, “To the mayor of Boston, you said you’ll double down on not helping ICE. I’m coming to Boston and I’m bring Hell with me!”
