WATCH: AOC Snaps After Fetterman Takes Her to the Cleaners With Clever Takedown

Infamous squad member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) shrugged off questions from reporters after Sen. Fetterman (D-PA) urged Democrats to stop calling Republicans “Nazis,” warning such rhetoric fuels violence and, as such, is extremely irresponsible and not something in which his party should engage. That led to a freakout from AOC.

As background, Fetterman comes from a conservative family and has a more moderate view of politics, and, as a result, has faced pressure from his base to radicalize. He has generally refused, saying that he doesn’t hate MAGA Americans and thinks dehumanizing rhetoric directed their way is very irresponsible.

Such is what he said when commenting on this matter in a  NewsNation town hall in which he explained that his family tends to lean conservative, saying, “I’m the only Democrat in my family. I grew up in a conservative part of Pennsylvania and I grew up and I know and I love people that voted for President Trump.”

Building on this point, he distanced himself from the extremist DNC rhetoric which politicians such as AOC often engage in. “They are not fascists, they are not Nazis, they are not trying to destroy the Constitution, those things, and that’s part of another thing,” the senator said.

Rounding out his comments, the senator said, in a clear jab at AOC and others like her who have routinely used scary terms to deride Republicans, “I refuse to call people, you know, Nazis or fascists.” Further condemning and calling out the “extreme rhetoric” that many members of his party have become infamous for engaging in, Sen. Fetterman said it will make it “more likely” that there will be “extreme … outcomes and political violence.”

Explaining the other reasons Democrats are upset with his reasonable takes. “Parts of my base are really angry with me, which is really strange. I mean, run the numbers. I mean, I vote, I think 90%-plus Democrat … but my base, [they’re] very angry about me being fully, fully, unapologetically supportive of Israel,” Fetterman said.

It was after all of that from Fetterman that AOC snapped. She did so when pressed on the matter by a reporter in the halls under Congress, with the reporter asking her about whether she thinks he is right and she needs to tone down her rhetoric, as do other Democrats like her.

“Why don’t I ask you about what John Fetterman is saying? He’s saying that Democrats should not be comparing any more Republicans or Trump supporters to Nazis or Adolf Hitler. What do you think about that? After Charlie Kirk’s…” the reporter said. AOC then angrily interjected, glaring at the reporter and snapping, “He’s entitled to his opinion.”

Posting a clip of the interaction, one prominent conservative noted, “AOC is asked about Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) saying Democrats should stop comparing MAGA to N*zis. She responded, “He’s entitled to his opinion.” Clearly, AOC will continue her violent rhetoric because she hates America. Arrest her now. She’s getting innocent citizens k*lled.”

Commenters on that clip were enraged by her blase dismissal of the rhetoric issue. “By @AOC refusing to stop calling Republicans Nazis, it shows she doesn’t care about the violence towards Republicans. Leftists are evil. Never forget that,” one user pointed out.

Others took to the comments to insult her far-left politics. Another woman wrote, “AOC is a radical far-left activist that will continue to promote violence and harm for any conservative, Christian or traditional family supporter/believer.”
