In a worrying sign of the times, the DHS has reported an 8,000% surge in death threats against ICE officers as a result of Trump’s immigration crackdown. Examples of threats have incldued bounties, doxxing, stalking, and family threats.
For context, Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin has laid the blame at the feet of “sanctuary politicians” for fueling violence via “vilification and demonization tactics,” including Nazi comparisons, declaring “this violence must end.” She explained as much, and gave examples, in a horrifying but important press statement released by DHS on Thursday, October 30.
As one example of the threats given in the press release, a $10,000 bounty was offered on TikTok in Dallas. Likewise, a threatening voicemail invoking Nazi reprisals and a Washington man vowing to confront agents are examples of rising tensions. Reacting, the DHS has promised to bring full prosecution.
Explaining the cause of this wave of violence, Tricia McLaughlin pointed to “sanctuary politicians’ contribute to this surge of threats through ‘their repeated vilification and demonization tactics.'” She noted that “risk their lives every single day to remove the worst of the worst.”
Offering more examples, McLaughlin continued. “From bounties placed on their heads for their murders, threats to their families, stalking, and doxxing online, our officers are experiencing an unprecedented level of violence,” she noted.
Making the cause of these incidents clear, Tricia McLaughlin reiterated her critique that “sanctuary politicians” have contributed to the surge “through their repeated vilification and demonization tactics, including gross comparisons to the Nazi Gestapo.” Adding, “this violence against law enforcement must end.”
Additionally, the DHS provided a transcript of an anonymous voicemail left for an ICE agent’s wife. “I don’t know how you let your husband work for ICE, and you sleep at night. F— you, f— your family. I hope your kids get deported by accident. How do you sleep? F— you,” the nasty message read.

Still, the callous intimidation continued. The voicemail asked, “Did you hear what happened to the Nazis after World War II? Because it’s what’s going to happen to your family. I hope every one of those lawless c—- you call ICE officers gets doxxed one by one.”
Watch Tom Homan vow to take down those who threaten ICE officers here:
Likewise, James Adrian Warren allegedly threatened the ICE office in Ferndale, Washington.”They need to be told they are Nazis every day they come to work, they need to be reminded that they are Nazis every day when they go home. I start on my next day off, you should too,” the unhinged message read.
Making the situation clear, Kristi Noem promised vengeance on those who treat ICE officers, saying, “ICE and our federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law. And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
Reacting to posts on social media covering this story, conservatives were outraged by these vile threats. One woman said, “So sad! They are just trying to do their jobs and if blue cities and blue states would not create terrible environments causing riots none of this would be happening at the level of this magnitude.” Additionally, another noted, “t’s wild that democrats want you to believe the real problems is ICE agents wearing masks. Crazy.”
