In a hilarious and heartwarming video that was boosted online by the White House, President Donald Trump was seen dancing alongside Malaysian performers as he landed in their country for his first trip as part of his tour across Asia, a major presidential trip shoring up American commercial, political, and military relationships in the critical region.
As background, the visit to Malaysia occurred on October 25, and was part of a five-day, multi-country tour across Asia in which the president met with, amongst other officials, newly-elected Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in Tokyo, and the Japanese Emperor. He will also be meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea.
But it was Malaysia that was his first stop, and on his way to the country, the president said, “I am on my way to Malaysia, where I will sign the great Peace Deal, which I proudly brokered between Cambodia and Thailand. Sadly, the Queen Mother of Thailand has just passed away. I send my condolences to the Great People of Thailand. I will be seeing their wonderful Prime Minister when we land. In order to accommodate everyone for this major event, we will be signing the Peace Deal immediately upon arrival. See you soon! President DJT”
Establishing his success in that goal on his way out of the country on Sunday, October 26, he said, “Just leaving Malaysia, a great and very vibrant Country. Signed major Trade and Rare Earth Deals, and yesterday, most importantly, signed the Peace Treaty between Thailand and Cambodia. NO WAR! Millions of lives saved. Such an honor to have gotten this done. Now, off to Japan!!!”
In any case, before President Trump helped both sides find an acceptable peace deal and watched as Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul signed the expanded ceasefire deal at the annual summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which he attended during his visit, Trump danced with the Malaysian dancers.
The very entertaining dance came as the president exited Air Force One and walked down the red carpet alongside Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. When PM Ibrahim showed Trump the dancers, who were behind a post and rope stanchion. The president did his characteristic Trump dance while watching them. The White House’s “Rapid Response 47” account, posting the video, captioned it, “TRUMP DANCE — MALAYSIA EDITION! 🔥🔥🔥” Watch it here:

Predictably, posters on X loved the video. “New rendition of the Trump dance just dropped in Malaysia lmao. There will never be another like him,” one account said. Another said, “Probably the most iconic moment in Trump’s arrival in Malaysia . The Trump dance 🇺🇸🇲🇾❣️”
Still another wrote, “The President hits the iconic Trump dance in Malaysia. How could anyone hate this man? 🕺🏽” A commenter on that post wrote, “Only DJT can pull this off. But, you know the LIBS. They always look for something to hate. If not DJT then the next Republican president.”
