WATCH: AG Bondi Announces Investigations Into Several Prominent Democrats Have Begun

Speaking during a highly exciting appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime” with the eponymous host, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has begun investigations into several prominent Democrats over threats that they appear to have made against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Such is what AG Bondi said in an interview on the night of Thursday, October 23, explaining to Watters that a collection of Democrats have attempted to dox and obstruct federal immigration agents, and so are facing investigation. Those prominent Democrats are Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot.

That came when Watters asked Bondi about recent comments made by former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who recently announced a new project that will work to start “unmasking” (ICE) agents nationwide, revealing their identities. Commenting on it and actions taken by other Democrats, Watters said, “JB Pritzker…they’re doxing. They’re telling people the whereabouts of ICE agents. Is that legal?”

Responding, Bondi said, “No.” She then followed up by explaining, “And Jesse, first time I’ve seen the Lori Lightfoot video is just now on your show. She will be getting a letter from us tomorrow to preserve anything that she’s done as well, to make sure that she’s not violating the law. It appears she is.”

Building on that by explaining what law it is that former Mayor Lightfoot is breaking with her move to start “unmasking” ICE agents, AG Bondi told Watters, “You cannot disclose the identity of a federal agent where they live, anything that could harm them.”

She then further noted to Watters that other Democrats are facing investigation from the DOJ as well, saying, “Pritzker, same ball game with him, and you know, Pelosi got a letter today from Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. So did Brooke Jenkins, that da in San Francisco, we told them, preserve your emails, preserve everything you have on this topic, because if you are telling people to arrest our ICE officers, our federal agents, you cannot do that, you are impeding an investigation.”

Vowing that those Democrats who break the law to attack ICE agents will face legal reprisals, no matter how high profile they may be, Bondi then said, “And we will charge them if they think I won’t, they have not met me, because we will charge them if they are violating the law, we will protect our federal agents.”

Adding to that, Bondi noted that ICE agents and other enforcers of federal immigration law are putting their lives on the line to keep Americans safe despite the shutdown, and yet Pelosi and others are still attacking them mercilessly. She said, “They’re out there working non stop . . . during a shutdown. These people are out there working to keep Californians safe. Yet you’ve got Pelosi out there saying to obstruct their investigation, you can’t do it, and we’re going to investigate her now, as well as that, dA is on the list too.”
