Report Claims Transgender Americans are Preparing to Fleeing The Country Because Trump “most anti-LGBTQ+ president in history”

In a ridiculous report issued as what appears to be a clear attempt to attack and discredit the Trump Administration through the usual sorts of slander related to vague claims of bigotry, Vox, the leftist media outlet, claimed that transgender Americans are now fleeing America because it is the “most anti-LGBTQ+ president in history.”

Such is what Vox claimed in a report that was about the Trump Administration’s general attitude towards the LGBTQ+ American lobby, saying that the Trump 2024 presidential campaign’s rhetoric regarding such matters as “radical gender ideology” and “transgender insanity” grew “more hostile” as the election wore on, and now is leading to transgender individuals fleeing the country.

Giving a supposed example of the hostility and bigotry on display from the Trump camp during the election, the Vox article noted that the president ran an ad on TV that said, in part, “Kamala is for they/them. Trump is for you.” Predictably, the Vox author was angry about that ad.

Further, Vox spoke to Katie Sosin, a reporter for a group called “The 19th” who focused on LGBTQ issues. Sosin claimed that the president is the most hostile president to the LGBTQ+ demographic in history, a ridiculous claim given past American laws against members of the group. Sosin said, in any case, “Trump is generally viewed as the most anti-LBGTQ+ president in history, and a lot of that has to do with his approach to transgender rights.”

Continuing, Sosin alleged that it is this administration in particular that is so awful, with the first one not having been as bad. She said, “When he first got into office in 2017, there were still some questions about how he was going to approach LGBTQ+ issues, and he made a number of anti-trans moves in his first term. But this time, he really campaigned on anti-trans issues, and he’s made them a staple of his administration.”

Further, Sosin gave examples of the president’s supposed bigotry, claiming, “We have him limiting health care access specifically for trans youth and revoking federal funding for medical providers that offer it. We have the reinstatement of the transgender military ban. And then, denying transgender people passports.”

That last claim is ridiculous, referring to a matter of gender identity on identification documents rather than the administration really refusing to let transgender individuals get passports. It was when attempting to explain it that Sosin claimed transgender individuals are trying to flee, saying, “When you apply for your passport, you mark male, female — or recently, you had the option to mark a gender marker X, which is either unspecified or non-binary.”

Continuing, Sosin alleged that it was “unsafe” to not allow gender marker changes on passports, insisting, “The Trump administration was rejecting all gender marker changes, so you couldn’t update your gender marker, which meant a lot of people were unsafe, and in some cases, they were seizing the documents of transgender people and not sending them back.“

And that is when Sosin claimed that transgender individuals are prearing to flee the country, saying, “And this caused a lot of panic and confusion, because a lot of trans people wanted to flee the country .  . . So, the advice has been, if you are trans and you need a passport, you should apply for one right away, because this is changing so quickly, and it’s uncertain how this will play out.“
