In yet another round of leftist representatives seemingly siding openly with destruction foisted on the country in the name of tolerance, Congressional Democrats freaked out in response to Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) having called for the deportation of Zohran Mamdani, the socialist mayoral candidate in New York City who many conservatives fear will destroy the Big Apple.
As background, Mamdani is a self-described socialist who is a Muslim and originally from Uganda, and has pushed for everything from raising taxes on the productive to provide free municipal bus fares to a slew of extremely soft on crime policies. Thanks to the combined weight of all that radicalism, he has become the characterization of what many conservatives fear.
Amongst those who went on the attack against him once Mamdani looked like the mayoral candidate most likely to win was Rep. Ogles. He said, “Zohran ‘little muhammad’ Mamdani is an antisemitic, socialist, communist who will destroy the great City of New York. He needs to be DEPORTED. Which is why I am calling for him to be subject to denaturalization proceedings. Attached is my letter to @AGPamBondi.”
In the letter to AG Bondi, Rep. Ogles said, in part, “I write to request that the Department of Justice open an investigation into whether Zohran Kwame Mamdani, currently a candidate for Mayor of New York City, should be subject to denaturalization proceedings under 8 U.S.C. § 1451(a) on the grounds that he may have procured U.S. citizenship through willful misrepresentation or concealment of material support for terrorism.”
Continuing, he noted, “According to public reports, including a June 21, 2025 New York Post article, Mr. Mamdani expressed open solidarity with individuals convicted of terrorism-related offenses prior to becoming a U.S. citizen.’ Specifically, he rapped: “Free the Holy Land Five / My guys.” The Holy Land Foundation was convicted in 2008 for providing material support to Hamas, a designated foreign terrorist organization. Publicly praising the Foundation’s convicted leadership as “my guys” raises serious concerns about whether Mr. Mamdani held affiliations or sympathies he failed to disclose during the naturalization process.”
He further noted, justifying his call for Mamdani to be deported, “While I understand that some may raise First Amendment concerns about taking legal action based on expressive conduct, such as rap lyrics, speech alone does not preclude accountability where it reasonably suggests underlying conduct relevant to eligibility for naturalization. If an individual publicly glorifies a group convicted of financing terrorism, it is entirely appropriate for federal authorities to inquire whether that individual engaged in non-public forms of support such as organizational affiliation, fundraising, or advocacy-that would have required disclosure on Form N-400 or during a naturalization interview.”
The Democrats freaked out over that in a motion to censure Rep. Ogles in which they attacked the aforementioned post and others. Describing the others, it said, “on June 26, 2025, Representative Andrew Ogles used his official account on the social media platform X to post a video of Mr. Mamdani with the caption, ‘DEPORT little muhammad!'” and “on June 26, 2025, Representative Andrew Ogles used his official accounts on the social media platforms X and Instagram to post an image of himself and Mr. Mamdani that contains the word ‘DEPORT’ and is accompanied by the caption, ‘Bye bye, little muhammad!'”

The censure motion then demanded, “(1) Representative Andrew Ogles be censured; (2) Representative Andrew Ogles forthwith present himself in the well of the House of Representatives for the pronouncement of censure; and (3) Representative Andrew Ogles be censured with the public reading of this resolution by the Speaker.”
