Letitia James Indicted by Grand Jury for Bank Fraud Felony

In some absolutely titanic news out of Virginia, a federal grand jury has indicted New York Attorney General Letitia James for criminal bank fraud. In so doing, it has helped Trump punish and humiliate the woke AG known mainly for her attempt to fine now-President Trump over half a billion dollars for a loan he paid back, claiming he overstated his assets.

For reference, NY AG James has been under fire since it was discovered and reported by Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte that she listed a property in Virginia as her primary residence despite holding office in New York at the same time, indicating that she was not living in Virginia, a lie to get a lower mortgage rate that now looks like it could and will land her in serious legal trouble.

In any case, the grand jury brought to look into the charges and determine if they have merit found that they did, returning two charges: bank fraud and false statements to a financial institution. If convicted of both of those crimes, AG James faces up to three decades in prison and up to $1 million in fines on each count.

Now, the case will go to federal court, and was assigned to U.S. District Judge Jamar K. Walker, a Biden appointee. Given that the case is progressing to an actual trial where the hated NY AG could face serious consequences, conservatives online have been quite celebratory. For example, in an opaque tweet clearly referencing the case and the grand jury’s decision, AG Pam Bondi said, “One tier of justice for all Americans.”

Similarly, conservative X personality Alex Bruesewitz sarcastically quoted what NY AG James said about her persecution via prosecution of President Trump, saying, “‘There simply cannot be different rules for different people.’ – Letitia James I totally agree! No one is above the law!:

Also chiming in, another conservative X personality, Nick Sortor, called for yet more indictments to come after this one, saying, “🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: NY Attorney General Letitia James has just been indicted by a grand jury on federal BANK FRAUD charges, per Reuters LET’S GO! 🔥 Keep the indictments coming!”

Trump has suggested that AG James’s lawfare against him has been a major factor in chasing business out of the city and state, something that could make the case more pressing for New York City and state, as cutting James loose could stop the flow of tax-paying businesses and individuals to safer jurisdictions.

Calling attention to that aspect of the matter just a few days before the grand jury decision, President Trump said, “Corrupt Letitia James is costing New York State Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in lost business. No company or individual wants to be there, knowing that she’s the “Attorney General.” She is a Complete and Total Disaster, who tried running against Kathy Hochul for Governor, and only got 1% of the Vote in Polls, and QUIT. She then went back to her WITCH HUNT against President Donald J. Trump, and others. Until this “SCUM” is removed from the Attorney General’s Office, no company will move to New York, and few companies will be using the New York Stock Exchange, or NASDAQ, for going Public. The new Texas Exchange will be taking ALL of this business away, and we’re talking Hundreds of Billions of Dollars!”
