NFL’s Anti-ICE Super Bowl Halftime Performer Caught Sitting for “God Bless America” During Baseball Game

In the latest round of infuriating news for what right-of-center fans of the NFL somehow remain behind the horribly woke football league, Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican pop star who was chosen to sing in the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show despite his radical leftist political views, was caught sitting for the singing of “God Bless America” during a Yankees game.

As background, the NFL was already in hot water with what few conservative fans it still has before even the beginning of this season, as the league announced it would not be getting rid of the infamous “end racism” endzone slogans, or the other social justice slogans of that sort that it has been putting in the end zones.

Then, stirring up yet more anger against it from the right side of things, the NFL decided that it would kick off the first game of the season with a performance of the so-called “Black national anthem,” a very incendiary move that was performed at an Eagles game, drawing yawns from the audience and scorn online.

Next, the NFL further infuriated those few remaining politically normal or conservative fans with the extremely polarizing news that “Bad Bunny” will be the performer, as he is known for his spiteful comments directed against the Trump Administration and against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Particularly, Bad Bunny, the ridiculously named and far-left performer, didn’t even include any tour dates in the United States because, he claimed, he was worried that his fans might be detained by ICE agents if they showed up. He said, speaking about that to the media, and using very vulgar language directed at ICE as he did so, “But there was the issue of — like, f*cking ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”

In any case, TMZ Sports then reported on Wednesday, October 8, that Bad Bunny had been caught sitting during the rendition of “God Bless America” that was sung during the New York Yankees game Tuesday night. Reporting as much in its unsurprising but still infuriating article on the subject, TMZ Sports said:

During the 7th inning stretch, the crowd mostly stood and sang during the rendition of “God Bless America.” In a live photo obtained by TMZ, you hear the crowd singing “guide her” … as in the verse “stand beside her and guide her,” which is toward the beginning of the song.

Predictably, that story infuriated conservatives online, particularly on X, where it went viral, with conservative commentators sounding off on the NFL over it. Jack Posobiec, for example, said, “BREAKING: Bad Bunny DISRESPECTS the USA by sitting down during ‘God Bless America’ at Yankees game This is the Superbowl halftime performer”

Similarly, conservative commentator and personality Tomi Lahren wrote, calling out what the incident shows, “Bad Bunny appears to stay seated during ‘God Bless America’ at Yankee Stadium… Yeah because he has a clear disdain for America. He’s an a-hole.”
