Schumer Gets More Bad News GOP Electoral Strategist Shows Just How Republicans Can Turn Key Blue State Red

Bad news for the Democratic Party and its titular leaders, such as the now much-derided Senate Minority Leader, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), continues to pour in from across America headed into midterms, as poorly timed Democratic retirements in swing states paired with the general GOP ascent, makes it looks like the GOP will not lose control of the legislature in 2026.

Adding to that pile-on is the news out of the longtime Democratic Party stronghold of New Jersey, where the state’s gubernatorial race has turned into a nail-bitingly tense showdown between the ascendant Republican Party and the Democratic Party, which holds a residual advantage from having been in power for so long.

In fact, the GOP turnout advantage in the race, one that is being clearly shown by the data, is what could lead to a Republican victory in the race despite the fact that the Democrats have a massive (though steadily decreasing) lead in terms of how many registered voters they have in the state.

Such is what GOP strategist and vote organizer Scott Presler explained to Breitbart News, noting that a major campaign to turn out the votes could lead to a stunning GOP victory. “Do you know, Matt, how many Republicans stayed home in 2021, the year after 2020? 600,000. The election was decided by 84,000 votes,” he began.

Continuing, Presler noted that there is a huge opportunity for Republicans to register a key interest group that will likely be on their side, and use turnout to defeat the Democrats, saying, “Two hundred and fifty thousand gun owners in New Jersey are not registered to vote. If our beautiful gun community or Second Amendment advocates registered and mobilized and voted, New Jersey would be a Republican state — would be a red state.”

Adding to that, Pressler noted that Americans are broadly in support of the sort of key Trump policies that the state GOP should latch onto, saying, “Republicans want to drive down property taxes, drive down electricity costs, and then couple that also with the fact that New Jersey is a sanctuary state, and then this landslide election for Donald Trump — the people of America spoke.”

He added, on that same point, noting that the Democrat candidate does not represent what voters want, “They want law and order. They want ICE to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens, and we’re not seeing that under Trenton Democrats and people like Mikie Sherrill, that voted against the Laken Riley Act.”

Further, Presler connected the Democrat to scandals, noting that, for one, Sherrill “can’t even account for the fact that she’s made $7 million while being a member of Congress.” He added, commenting on the Naval Academy scandal to which Sherill is connected as well, “What is Mikie Sherrill thinking, not being honest about the fact that she can even walk with her class at the Naval Academy, and if you talk about integrity and honesty, why is Mikie Sherrill not being honest about that scandal that happened?”

Wrapping up by noting that what all that shows is that this is key race and is one that the GOP could win so long as it does what it needs to, Presler explained, “And so really this race, this is 50/50. This is tied. Jack Ciattarelli is poised to win the governorship, but we need big, beautiful turnout.”
