“Shut Up!”: House Committee Derails into Chaos as Dem Rep Starts Screaming, Gets Accused of Being “Former Antifa”

In one of the more entertaining hearing incidents to come out of the House Oversight Committee, Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) was left shouting at Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) to “shut up” as Rep. Frost derailed the committee hearing by screaming, and Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) jumped in to accuse him of being “former Antifa.”

For reference, the incident came back in mid-June, after Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) was tackled by law enforcement after he lunged towards Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem during a press conference she was giving. Sen. Padilla was not wearing his Congressional pin at the time, so Secretary Noem’s security was not able to ID him as a senator.

Rep. Frost was trying to use the incident as a bludgeon against Republicans during the hearing, yelling that Sen. Padilla had been “thrown to the ground” and that there needed to be lengthy hearings into what happened. Rep. Greene wasn’t having it, and tried to shut him up by saying, “Reclaiming my time. Reclaim my time! Reclaiming my time. Democrats can’t follow the rules, can’t follow the laws, can’t follow the rule, can’t follow the law.”

Frost then insisted, shouting, “We need to subpoena Kristi Noem!” That led MTG to fire back and insist that Rep. Frost, along with the other Democrats, were working to destroy America, saying, “There’s a privilege of the majority, and that means we’re in charge, not your side, because you lost the election because you supported the destruction of our country.”

Frost kept making his demand that Secretary Noem be subpoenaed because someone had gotten shoved while attacking her, demanding, “Will you commit, on the record, to subpoenaing Kristi Noem because a U.S. Senator was just thrown to the ground and detained in his own state?”

MTG, for her part, kept taunting Rep. Frost, insisting that he had to pipe down because he was in violation of the rules, saying, “Democrats can’t follow the rules. You’re out of order. Can’t follow the law.” Rep. Frost responded by continuing to try to talk over her, shouting.

As he did so, Rep. Comer had finally had enough with the woke Democrat and yelled, “Shut up! Just shut up! Shut up!” Rep. Frost, unsurprisingly, didn’t take the opportunity to just back off and let the committee return to its business. He instead kept yelling, shouting, “No, you don’t. No, you’re not going to tell me to shut up!”

Comer, for his part, was clearly done with the whole situation, and acidly remarked that Frost was trying to get invited back onto leftist cable TV with his antics, saying, “He’s been out of order six times. He is trying to get on MSNBC. You probably knocked somebody off MSNBC to get on there.”

Deciding to toss another bomb and set Rep. Frost off yet again, MTG said, “I think it’s because he’s been arrested as a former Antifa member, right? Antifa.” Comer, frustrated, tried to just make it go away, saying,  “Back to order, Ms. Greene.” Greene, not done, snapped, “He’s a former Antifa member, Mr. Chairman. No surprise.” Frost and Greene then kept bickering as Comer looked visibly frustrated.
