A well-loved reporter for the Post Millennial was brutally assaulted with a flagpole by a masked Antifa protester outside Portland’s ICE facility on September 30, 2025, leaving her with a black eye. Looking back at four months of nightly protests, she described the area as “complete lawlessness,” and stated that antifa was harassing journalists, residents, and law enforcement.
For context, after the assault, Katie Daviscourt chased down the suspect for 35 minutes. She accused Portland police of refusing to arrest, though officials claimed a police officer attempted detention before the suspect escaped. However, despite the apparent loss of control, Oregon has sued to block Trump’s deployment of National Guard troops amid escalating unrest.
In any case, Katie Daviscourt explained the situation on the ground, saying, Antifa-affiliated protesters who harass, assault, and threaten anyone who they perceive to be a threat to their cause, including journalists, local residents, and ICE agents.”
Still not done, she added more context. “That’s what it’s been like covering Portland for the past four months. Complete lawlessness. This Antifa-affiliated subject just started approaching me and waving a flagpole in my face, and then I kind of turn around and that’s when she swung it like a baseball bat and directly hit my eye,” Daviscourt stated.
Continuing her story, the conservative journalist described how police couldn’t help her. The journalist said, “I immediately ran to a Portland police officer, hunted down the suspect, chased her through the streets and said, ‘This is my assault suspect, can you guys finally do something?’ and I had eyes on her for about 35 minutes.”
Concluding her comments, she described the passivity of the Portland police. “Portland police refused to come in and make an arrest, and I had three officers just standing there, watching me try to hunt down the suspect,” she declared.
In a desperate attempt to skirt responsibility, the Portland Police Department revealed, “The Dialogue Officer attempted to talk to the suspect to hear her side of the story. She would not stop, so the DLO told her she was being detained. She refused the lawful police order to stop, and she fled.”

Taking to social media, the victim offers photographic proof of the assault. “I shouldn’t have to post my injury but since one of the main Antifa agitators involved in the Portland ICE occupation is defaming me — here’s a look at my black eye given to me by one of her terrorist comrades,” Daviscourt noted.
Wrapping up her post to social media, which gathered widespread sympathy, she said, “I also really hate attention and don’t do well with being a victim, but the truth must be told (I have a concussion and eye hemorrhage!)”
Enraged by her horrific injuries, conservatives replied with an outpouring of support in the comments. One such message read, “Whoever did this to you will be found. They can’t hide forever. And you should sue the person who defamed you. She has absolutely no basis for her accusations.”
