According to new reporting from conservative legal groups, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, the so-called “First Partner” of the California Governor, has received $150,000 annually from the Representation Project, her non-profit, while also receiving $150,000 from Girls Club Entertainment. Many have criticised these massive income streams and pointed to possible corruption.
For context, critics, including Caitlin Sutherland of Americans for Public Trust and Michael Chamberlain of Protect the Public’s Trust, have accused Newsom of leveraging the activities for personal gain. The non-profit is backed by major companies such as AT&T and Comcast, and licenses the first partner’s movies for use in schools.
In any case, reacting to this complicated network of businesses and so-called charities, Michael Chamberlain of Protect the Public’s Trust blasted the Newsoms. “These types of connections certainly appear unseemly and raise some serious red flags. As was evident during COVID, Governor Newsom seems to enjoy living by the maxim of ‘rules for me, but not for thee,” he noted.
Building on these comments, Caitlin Sutherland, executive director of Americans for Public Trust, a non-partisan watchdog group, pointed to serious moral failings in the Newsom clan. She stated,
“It is no surprise Gavin and Jennifer Newsom have leveraged their business and non-profit endeavors for personal and political gain.”
Tying these comments to a broader pattern of pay-to-win politics, she explained the scheme. “Backed by left-wing megadonors with ties to the governor, the power couple’s ventures have raked in hundreds of thousands of dollars, pushing a politicized agenda into public schools, all while personally benefiting the Newsoms,” Sutherland argued.
Stating her case explicitly, she noted, “Profiting from progressive indoctrination is easy when your husband is the governor — a blatant conflict of interest. Governor Newsom has a pattern of cashing in on his position and influence for personal benefit.”
Concluding her comments, she explained, “It’s hardly surprising that this pattern extends to his wealthy megadonors as well. Californians, and all Americans, deserve a leader who will engage in good public policy instead of one who benefits their donors.”

Unfortunately, this is far from the only reported incident involving Gavin Newsom from Americans for Public Trust. The far-left governor has decided to redraw the districts in his state in a blatant attempt to seize power. California Republican Party Chairwoman Corrin Rankin explained, “California voters created the Citizens Redistricting Commission to stop backroom deals and restore public trust.”
Describing how the democrats backstab their citizens, she said, “Yet time and again, we see Sacramento operate like a pay-to-play club where big donors get appointments and favors. Proposition 50 would lock that same culture into our election maps, giving politicians the power to protect themselves and their allies instead of voters. Defeating Prop 50 is the only way to keep maps fair, transparent, and accountable to the people, not the well-connected.”
Backtracking to provide context, she noted, “Proposition 50 is a special election ballot measure scheduled for a November vote that, if passed, would replace California’s current independent congressional district map with a new map drawn by the Democrat-controlled legislature.”
