In a major memo that was just released by the White House, President Donald Trump’s administration exposed that the woke Democrats really have, as members of the administration claimed, shut down the government in part because of demands over wanting healthcare spending that would fund government healthcare for non-Americans to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars.
As background, that has been a major talking point from the administration since a shutdown looked likely, with President Donald Trump taking to Truth Social to allege that the Democrats wanted him to sign an agreement that would add funding for healthcare illegal aliens, and he refused to do it.
Adding to that in remarks to the media outside the White House, Vice President JD Vance explained, “But if you look at the original thing they did with this negotiation, it was a $1.5 trillion spending package . . . [providing] massive amounts of money, hundreds of billions of dollars, to illegal aliens for their health care while Americans are struggling to pay their health care bills. That was their initial foray into this negotiation.”
Further explaining the matter in a press release, the White House noted that Democrats claim the healthcare for illegals matter is a lie, but is actually exactly what is happening, quoting JD Vance as saying as much during an interview on Fox News. The statement began, “Democrats and their Fake News allies want you to believe it’s all a lie that Democrats shut down the government over free healthcare for illegal aliens. Except that’s exactly what happened. As Vice President JD Vance said, ‘It’s not something that we made up. It’s not a talking point. It is in the text of the bill that they initially gave to us to reopen the government.’”
Continuing, the White House explained that the Democratic Party’s proposal would put illegal aliens first and Americans last, saying, “As the White House makes clear in a new memo, Democrats’ unserious proposal takes extraordinary efforts to accommodate illegal aliens while repealing reforms that strengthen healthcare for American citizens.”
It then added that the scale of what the Democrats are proposing here is massive, saying, “FACT: Democrats’ proposal would result in nearly $200 billion spent on healthcare for illegal immigrants and other non-citizens over the next decade — enough to fund the entire Children’s Health Insurance Program.”
The statement then went on to rattle off a slew of other “facts” about the situation, such as, “Democrats’ proposal would once again allow those improperly granted asylum and parole under Biden’s open borders scheme to receive Medicaid,” “Democrats’ proposal would require Medicaid to pay more for emergency care provided to illegal aliens than it does for American patients who are disabled, elderly, or children,” and “Democrats’ proposal would allow California to continue exploiting a loophole to fund Medicaid for illegal aliens.”

Continuing to list such important details that are quite inconvenient for the Democrats, it noted, “Democrats’ proposal would reinstate a special Obamacare subsidy for non-citizens — for which low-income American citizens are not eligible,” “Democrats’ proposal would repeal a generational $50 billion investment in rural healthcare,” “Democrats’ proposal would take Health Savings Accounts away from ten million American citizens.”
