Conservative media personality Dan Bongino, long-time podcaster and host of one of the hottest shows on Fox, shared an update from his hospital bed as he continues recovery from surgery to remove bone spurs.
Bongino expressed gratitude to his legion of followers and thanked them for their well wishes and prayers. Captioning an image from his hospital bed, Bongino said, “Doing okay! Out of surgery and the doc did a massive clean up operation on my elbow. Thanks for all of your prayers and messages. I really appreciate it.”
Bongino has a storied career as a Secret Service agent and attributes his on-going issues with bone spurs and arthritis in his elbow to the physical demands of lifting weights since a young age and staying in peak physical condition for his former demanding job.
“I have a long history with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing and wrestling,” he said in a long profile piece in Muscle & Fitness magazine. The self-professed weight-lifting enthusiast said he has been lifting regularly since the age of 12 or 13 and anyone that watches his show can attest to his impressive physique.
Bongino posted another update from his recovery room by light-heartedly joking that he had no time to rest; he had to take on a “Soros stooge” a few hours later.
“Battling a Soros stooge only a few hours removed from the operating room. Elbow surgery went great. Thanks for your prayers and messages. No breaks from the fight. See thread below,” his tweet said.

Bongino came out strong against the police actions in the death of Memphis’s Tyre Nichols when the video of his death was released the other week. An ardent supporter of the police, Bongino laid into the “death sentence” meted out on the street and condemned bad police for staining the profession.
“This man deserved justice. He got none of it. What he got was a death sentence in the street. Where are the conservatives and lovers of liberty. We always defended the good police out there. They are that thin crust on a volcano you heard about often. The thin crust on a volcano is secured by our military overseas. This wasn’t civilized. This was savagery. It was brutal savagery. This wasn’t justice. This was a disgrace. The man is never going to take another breath of oxygen again. Over what? Reckless driving? Did he make a right on red that he shouldn’t have made. Folks, no one has been a bigger defender than the men in blue than me. And these men disgraced the badge, now they are going to face real justice,” Bongino said.
“They will face the process they did not give Mr. Nichols. They will face a judge and a jury. I want to even this by a note to the good cops out there. The ones who put their asses on the likes he day to keep us safe. I want to thank you. You didn’t do this, and you don’t deserve the enmity that’s going to come your way,” he added.
“You don’t deserve any of it. I just want to leave you with a quote. I spoke this to an event in Mexico’ the woman got up and said the greatest sound in the world is the sound of velcro at night. Velcro is the sound that police officer makes when they take that body armor off at night and their spouse knows they are home. We’ll be right back. All across the country, people are working hard to build a better future,” he continued.
