As tensions have escalated in Broadview, MI, both Mayor Katrina Thompson and Police Chief Thomas Mills have engaged in a dispute over the ICE presence in the liberal city. The woke officials somehow claimed that the actions of ICE, which included tear gas, pepper spray, and rubber bullets, were a “disinformation campaign.”
For context, Mills spoke to local media about his interaction with ICE, where he whined about how ICE officers yelled at him for refusing to enforce the law or go after violent rioters. Despite his complaints, users on social media roughly mocked the entitled police chief.
In one instance, a viral social media post mocked the police chief. “BREAKING – Broadview, Illinois Police Chief Thomas Mills is now crying that ICE agents cursed at him, called him a traitor and coward, and told him to get out of the way if he wouldn’t enforce the law,” the conservative social media user said.
While speaking to social media, Mills whined, “I was shocked. I was shocked. I’ve never been spoken to by a fellow law enforcement officer in such a way. I’m a leader of a department. I know that my office is looking at me for guidance and leadership, and I had to ensure that, you know, I had to stay calm and not engage in such unprofessional behavior.”
Repeating baseless allegations and making himself look even weaker, the woke policeman sided with the rioters over the ICE agents. “Allegedly, an ICE agent struck someone and continued on into their location, and during the course of that, while trying to gather information, there was a pepper spray release while my officers were right there, they felt the effects of that pepper spray,” he alleged.
Concluding his comments, he completely missed the point, angered that the ICE agents used tear gas to protect themselves from rioters, saying, “With it altered their vision. They were coughing, and I was on the phone with them, and they had to leave the area so they can decontaminate themselves.”
Echoing these comments, Mayor Katrina Thompson went on a massive meltdown. She stated, “It all has to stop. ICE has to stop putting our residents, our police officers, our first responders and American citizens in harm’s way.”

Additionally, she repeated baseless allegations against federal agents. “ICE is making war on my community,” she claimed, adding, “DHS is running a disinformation campaign that would even make Russia blush.”
Reiterating his previous comments, Police Chief Thomas Mills complained, “It’s very hard on my officers. This is unprecedented times when we’re actually having to try and do our job against the federal law enforcement who’s doing their job.”
Adding yet another woke perspective, acting Fire Chief Matt Martin went on a tirade.“Each day this fence remains, the risk of tragedy increases. That is the law of probability and it applies to everyone, including the federal government,” he whined.

Reacting to the general trend of far-left cities opposing ICE, he quipped, “We should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military. We’re under invasion from within. No different than a foreign enemy but more difficult in many ways because they don’t wear uniforms.”
