In a heated exchange recently unearthed from the 2024 election, JD Vance demolished CNN anchor Dana Bash over Trump’s comments about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio. Vance expertly pointed out how Kamala Harris has created suffering with her shortsighted open-border policies.
For context, Bash melted down in epic fashion and, despite strong evidence of Trump’s claims, resorted to baseless liberal tactics. Countering, Vance pointed out her transparent partisan reporting, leaving Bash sputtering in rage.
After disputing the story about Haitian migrants eating household pets, the far-left anchor whined, ” Nobody is disputing that the town of Springfield, Ohio, needs help. But you’re not just a bystander. You’re the senator from Ohio.”
Still not done, she continued to whine. “Why not actually be constructive in helping to better integrate them into the community, because there are a lot of employers there who say that the Haitian workers are helping fill jobs that they need desperately filled,” Dana Bash complained.
Responding in epic fashion, JD Vance fired back with practiced ease, saying, “Dana, first of all, let me just respond to a couple of things that you said, but I want to start with something you said, which I think is, frankly, disgusting and is more appropriate for a democratic propagandist than it is for an American journalist.”
Countering baseless allegations of bomb threats, he continued putting Bash in her place. “There is nothing that I have said that has led to threats against these hospitals, these hospitals, the bomb threats, and so forth. It’s disgusting. The violence is disgusting. We condemn it. We condemn all violence,” he said.
Stepping over a cynical attempt to interrupt his answer, Vance made it clear that the Democrats were the root of the issue, saying, “After that, they were what we have said is that this town has suffered terribly under the problem, under the policies of Kamala Harris.”

Firing back and leaving Bash sputtering, Vance pulled apart her argument. “Now you just accuse me of inciting violence against the community, when all that I’ve done is surface the complaints of my constituents, people who are suffering because of Kamala Harris’s policies,” JD Vance stated.
Aiming a pointed question at the biased CNN anchor, he asked, “Are we not allowed to talk about these problems because some psychopaths are threatening violence? We can condemn the violence on the one hand, but also talk about the terrible consequences of Kamala Harris’s open border on the other hand.”
Still not done, the VP candidate said, “Now let me just fact-check a couple of other things that you said, Dana, because it’s important you said that all of these migrants are in the country legally. They’re in the country through what’s called temporary protective status.”

Concluding his comments, he connected the scandal to his then-opponent Kamala Harris. “That is when Kamala Harris waved a magic amnesty wand, taking people and giving them legal status. That is not a that is not to say that they’re here legally. That is a terrible indictment of her. Amnesty policies that have further opened the illegal migration,” he expertly pointed out.
