Jimmy Kimmel Humiliated as Broadcasters Revolt, Refuse to Air His TV Comeback Despite Disney’s Deal

Despite Disney backtracking on its promise to suspend alleged comedian Jimmy Kimmel for his vile comments about slain conservative Charlie Kirk, Sinclair Broadcasting Group announced it will continue preempting his program on its 38 ABC affiliates.

For context, Disney criticized the remarks as “ill-timed and insensitive” but allowed Kimmel to return to his show. Alternatively, Sinclair’s Jason Smith called them “inappropriate and deeply insensitive,” and urged the FCC to step in.

In any case, Disney/ABC issued a limp-wristed statement on the controversy. “Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” the media giant wrote.

Concluding its statement, the media conglomerate said, “It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”

However, other media companies took a different tack. For example, Nexstar characterized the remarks as “offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse.” Building on this point, it called for the parties involved to “move toward the resumption of respectful, constructive dialogue.”

Savaging the woke comedian, Sinclair Vice Chairman Jason Smith said, “Mr. Kimmel’s remarks were inappropriate and deeply insensitive at a critical moment for our country.” Additionally, he noted, “We believe broadcasters have a responsibility to educate and elevate respectful, constructive dialogue in our communities.”

Clearly unhappy with Disney’s decision, he called for intervention. “We appreciate FCC Chairman Carr’s remarks today, and this incident highlights the critical need for the FCC to take immediate regulatory action to address control held over local broadcasters by the big national networks,” Smith proclaimed.

Echoing these comments, a Sinclair Representative announced, “Beginning Tuesday night, Sinclair will be preempting ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show’s potential return.”

As we reported, during his highly offensive monologue, which began the controversy, Kimmel baselessly asserted that Kirk’s killer was a trump supporter. The so-called comedian said, “We had some new lows over the weekend, with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

Still not done twisting the truth, the former late note highest alleged, “In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving. On Friday, the White House flew the flags at half-staff, which got some criticism. But on a human level, you can see how hard the president is taking this… This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish, okay?”

Apparently, the woke commentators are not taking the backlash well. According to an unnamed source close to Kimmel, who offered an insight into his mentality, saying,  “Jimmy is pissed over the decision to suspend him and the show, and he is actively looking for ways to get out of his contract…[They’ve] never seen Kimmel this angry.”
