WATCH: Scott Jennings Goes Nuclear on CNN Host and Jasmine Crockett

In yet another series of great moments that added some entertainment to CNN, conservative CNN contributor Scott Jennings went nuclear on Jasmine Crockett and totally rejected host John Berman’s question about President Trump’s eulogy at the Kirk funeral, refusing to criticize the president for taking a crack at his political enemies.

As background, President Trump, during the massive memorial event on Sunday, September 21, said, laughing at his own half-joke, “He did not hate his opponents, he wanted the best for them. That’s where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponents, and I don’t want the best for them, I’m sorry.”

Pressing Jennings on that, Berman snapped that the president’s remarks were “discordant.” Jennings refused to go along with it and engage in that sort of commentary, saying, “Yeah. Look. I’m not going to criticize the president. His friend died and he gave the eulogy. And he, you know, he did it in the way that Donald Trump would do it.”

Continuing, Jennings noted that the president had simply made a partial joke of a comment that the crowd found funny, saying, “He made some very beautiful remarks. He made some jokes that only Donald Trump can make. And, you know, he did it in a way that, frankly, I expected him to do it. And I think the crowd responded to it.”

Adding to that Jennings noted that the memorial service had included the full gamut of right-leaning opinions on how to respond, saying, “I think what you saw on the stage yesterday, from Trump to Erika Kirk to all the other speakers – and I thought it was extremely well done and very powerful – was a reflection of the range of emotions that Republicans and conservatives and Christians have felt since Charlie was assassinated.”

Further, Jennings noted, “Although I think it’s natural for us to try to analyze the politics of this or to nitpick the political actors, to me, yesterday’s event was as much a faith event and a spiritual awakening for the country as it was anything. And so how it affects the midterms or, you know, how it affects Donald Trump the political person, I don’t know. But I know how it affected Scott Jennings the Christian.”

That wasn’t all. Jennings also went nuclear on Dana Bash’s program, utterly shredding Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s horrific and lie-filled remarks about Charlie Kirk’s supposed racism. He said, “Charlie Kirk targeted nobody. He was not racist in any way! I’ve listened to hours and hours and hours and hours of Charlie Kirk debates.”

Still not done, Jennings further hammered one of Crockett’s absurd and infuriatingly false claims about Charlie Kirk, which was that Kirk supposedly targeted “people of color,” snapping, “There wasn’t a racist bone in his body! To say that he was ‘continuously targeting people of color’ is nothing but a malicious  on the very day that people are remembering Charlie and he’s going to be laid to rest!”
