Speaking in yet another absolutely abhorrent series of comments on CNN, far-left “Squad” Congresswoman Ilhan Omar defended her reposting of a horrific video claiming that Charlie Kirk was a hateful man killed by the monster he created, declaring as she did so that Kirk was a terrible man. That came despite the attempts by the House of Representatives to hold her accountable, in a small way, for her comments.
For reference, Ilhan’s comments came during the Friday, September 19, broadcast of CNN’s “The Source” with host Kaitlin Collins. During the interview, Ilhan addressed her decision to repost a video claiming that Charlie Kirk was a political Dr. Frankenstein who was assassinated by his own monster of spiteful politics, a ridiculous and absurd claim given Mr. Kirk’s reputation as a moderate conservative and family man.
That series of spiteful comments from Ilhan Omar came when Collins asked her about the video and the public’s reaction to it. Beginning, Collins noted, “There was a town hall that you had six days ago. You called Kirk a ‘hateful man,’ and you had reposted a video that I’m sure you’ve seen, you’ve taken criticism for.”
Continuing, Collins described the video and asked her why on Earth she would repost such a horrific and tasteless message, saying, “It’s a video that called him a reprehensible human being and said Kirk was Dr. Frankenstein and his monster shot him through the neck. Why repost that video?”
Responding, Omar said that she reposted the video because she is in agreement with it and thinks Kirk was an evil man. Beginning her horrid commentary, the far-left congresswoman said, “Because there were a lot of things in the video that I did agree with. Obviously, we share videos, we don’t have to agree with every single word.”
Continuing, she went on the attack and declared that she found Kirk, the moderate conservative known generally for his pro-Christian stance, to be “reprehensible” and “hateful.” She said, “But I do believe he was a reprehensible, hateful man. Like, that is my view of the words that he has said about every single identity that I belong to.”
Giving supposed examples of how Charlie was “hateful” towards her in his moderate political positions, Ilhan falsely claimed, “He didn’t believe that we should have equal access to anything. He also just didn’t even believe I could be smart enough, I could have thoughts that could be equal to a white man.”

Then, seemingly sensing that she hadn’t said quite what she should have said, Ilhan tossed in a throwaway comment about supposedly being against political violence of the sort she had just justified, saying, “I condemn political violence, and I obviously condemn the assassination of Charlie Kirk.”
Concluding, she insisted that the problem here is “gun violence” and that it needs to be ended, though she didn’t comment on the fact that the killer used a hunting rifle of the sort that nearly no gun control effort would ban. She said, “I put out a tweet right when he was killed that political violence is wrong and that we should work everything within our power to end gun violence in this country.”
