After the callous Arkansas Tech University student, Kerri Melissa Rollo, and her sister, Kaylee, were identified in a viral video defacing a Charlie Kirk memorial outside the Bentonville Courthouse, a second viral video showing three children on scooters stopping to repair the damaged memorial display swept across social media.

For context, after the two were arrested and charged by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office for criminal mischief, Rollo was fired from her job at local restaurant Bella’s Table. Reacting to the heinous vandalism, the community condemned their actions as inappropriate and insulting.

In any case, the footage shows the desecrated memorial lying in shambles as three young boys on a scooter approach the scene of the crime. Discarding their scooters, the boys take a few moments to reorganize the vigil to the slain conservative, earning themselves widespread praise on the internet.

Reacting to the initial footage of the destruction, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office took to social media to announce the arrests of the culprits. A statement on social media said, “On September 16, 2025, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of an incident involving vandalism at the Benton County Courthouse. The vandalism targeted a memorial dedicated to Charlie Kirk, located on the courthouse steps.”

Describing those arrested for the vandalism, the same post announced, “Following a swift investigation, detectives identified and arrested two suspects in connection with the vandalism: Kerri Melissa Rollo, 23 years old, and Kaylee Heather Rollo, 22 years old.”

Explaining the consequences of this heinous action, the sheriff’s office stated, “Both individuals have been charged with Criminal Mischief in the First Degree. In addition, Kaylee Rollo faces an additional charge of Obstruction of Governmental Operations. Both women will be held for a bond hearing. Sheriff Holloway takes acts of vandalism, particularly those directed toward community memorials, very seriously.”

Local residents were appalled by the vandalism, with one citizen quoted in local media saying, “This was not just vandalism — it was a targeted insult against a public memorial.” Echoing these comments, a local official stated in reaction to widespread community outrage.

The statement said, “Everyone has a right to be able to express their freedom of expression. But what the issue is, is when you trample on someone’s memorial, the human act of grieving, “adding, “You’re not just trampling on their freedom of expression, you’re trampling on the memory of a person. You’re trampling on our Benton County values.”

Not only did the women at the center of this scandal face charges and community outrage, but they also lost their jobs. Local restaurant Bella’s Table issued a statement distancing itself from the alleged criminals.

Bella’s tackle announced, “We understand your outrage over this incident. The individual who defaced the Charlie Kirk memorial does not represent or define our company, nor the hard-working team that serves our community every day. This person’s actions are not a reflection of our standards, values, or culture.”

Continuing the denunciation, the restaurant added, “Please know that we are addressing this matter internally with the seriousness it deserves. This isn’t just about one person’s actions. It’s about respect for our community and the values we stand for.”
