“He’s a Bad Guy”: Trump Calls for George Soros to Be “Put in Jail”

Speaking during an interview with NBC News in which he doubled down on his calls for the left’s notorious financier to be prosecuted and thrown in jail, President Donald Trump demanded that billionaire leftist donor George Soros be “put in jail” over his funding of far-left causes. Such came during a Saturday, September 13, interview.

As background, President Trump has commented before on the need to prosecute Soros for what he has helped fund, with his most recent comments before the NBC News interview coming when he was on Fox & Friends in the wake of the assassination of his close ally and friend Charlie Kirk, during which he noted that Soros has funded riots and so needs to be held accountable via a RICO case.

The president said, in that interview, “And we’re going to look into Soros, because I think it’s a RICO case against him and other people.” He further explained, “Because this is more than like protests. This is real agitation. This is riots on the street, and we’re going to look into that. What do we do about our country with that?”

Many on the left expected him to back down on that as his blood settled in the wake of the assassination. Instead, he called for the leftist groups to face severe judgment, saying,  “I’d like to see it [the nation] heal… But we’re dealing with a radical left group of lunatics, and they don’t play fair, and they never did.”

Further, when NBC News asked him about George Soros and his past comments about arresting and jailing the leftist financier, the president didn’t back down, standing by his claim that the funder of radical groups “should be put in jail.” Emphasizing his hatred of Soros, President Trump added, “He’s a bad guy.”

These recent comments are far from the first time that the president has threatened Soros with legal penalties for his radical political causes. In a late August post on Truth Social, for example, the president made a similar call for Soros to be prosecuted and destroyed via RICO legislation, adding in that post that the left will not be allowed to destroy America.

He began by making the threat of using RICO legislation, which is used to target and destroy criminal networks and conspiracies, saying, “George Soros, and his wonderful Radical Left son, should be charged with RICO because of their support of Violent Protests, and much more, all throughout the United States of America.”

Continuing, the president said that the billionaire leftist and the various far-left protest groups and NGOs he fund won’t be allowed to destroy America, saying, “We’re not going to allow these lunatics to rip apart America any more, never giving it so much as a chance to “BREATHE,” and be FREE.”

Concluding, and calling the whole leftist scene surrounding Soros a “group of psychopaths,” the president said, :Soros, and his group of psychopaths, have caused great damage to our Country! That includes his Crazy, West Coast friends. Be careful, we’re watching you! Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
