After the tragic death of conservative icon Charlie Kirk, DC Comics writer Gretchen Felker-Martin celebrated the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on X, writing, “Thoughts and prayers you Nazi bitch,” and “Hope the bullet’s okay after touching Charlie Kirk.”
For context, the transgender writer has previously caused controversy for celebrating Hamas and praising terrorist Osama bin Laden. While Welker-Martin, who contributed to Harley Quinn #41 and was set to helm a mature Red Hood comic, has faced major backlash.
In any case, in a flurry of posts to X, Gretchen Felker-Martin glaoted about the slaying of Kirk. The woke progressive whined, “Thoughts and prayers you Nazi bitch,” and“Hope the bullet’s okay after touching Charlie Kirk.”
Contextualizing the writer’s career, Cosmicbook.news explained, “Felker-Martin contributed a short story in Harley Quinn #41, released in June 2024. A year later, in June 2025, DC Comics announced that she would helm a new ongoing Red Hood comic aimed at mature readers.”
In memory of Kirk, fellow commentator Matt Walsh took to X and shared a heartfelt post. He noted, “All that Charlie ever did was have conversations with people. He didn’t insult anyone. He made arguments. He debated. ”
Continuing his eulogy, Walsh noted, “He wasn’t an extremist in any way. Everyone who knew Charlie personally loved him. That’s the kind of guy he was. And they still killed him. I am furious and heartbroken in equal measure. I cannot put into words how I feel. Maybe that is for the best.”
Similarly, iconic actor and comedian Tim Allen announced his sorrow at the loss of Kirk. He posted, “On this sad and day remembering 9-11. I add a somber prayer for Charlie Kirks family. This is a very dark moment.”

Even democrats, such as former President Obama, mourned Kirk’s passing. The former president noted, “We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.”
Making a post which had ominous echoes to his own family history, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr announced, “Once again, a bullet has silenced the most eloquent truth teller of an era. My dear friend Charlie Kirk was our country’s relentless and courageous crusader for free speech. We pray for Erika and the children. Charlie is already in paradise with the angels. We ask his prayers for our country.”
Similarly, first lady Melania Trump echoed other political figures in condemning the violence and tragic loss of life. She stated, “Charlie’s children will be raised with stories instead of memories, photographs instead of laughter, and silence where their father’s voice should have echoed.”
Building on this point, the compassionate first lady noted that Kirk’s life should serve as an example to the country. She announced, “Charlie Kirk’s life should serve as a symbolic reminder that compassionate awareness elevates family, love, and country.”
