WATCH: Democrat Mayor Goes Berserk in Bizarre Speech after Trump Announces Crackdown

Things continued to spiral for far-left Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D), when he attempted to respond to President Trump’s threats to deploy federal agents and National Guard troopers to Chicago to crack down on the out-of-control, catastrophic crime situation in the infamously violent city. Mayor Johnson ended up freaking out and blaming Trump and Republicans for crime in his bizarre response speech.

As background, the whole thing began with Trump, commenting on the situation in DC and where will be next, saying, “To me, D.C. is very exciting and a lot of people say, ‘Whoa, where’s he going from there?’ Well, I have calls from politicians begging me to go to Chicago, begging me to go to New York, begging me to go to Los Angeles.” He added, “Chicago is a mess. You have an incompetent mayor, grossly incompetent, and we’ll straighten that one out probably next.”

Adding to that, he claimed that Chicago’s residents are calling for him to take that momentous step and solve their city’s massive crime problem. He claimed, “That’ll be our next one after this, and it won’t even be tough. And the people in Chicago … are screaming for us to come … so I think Chicago will be our next and then we’ll help with New York.”

In one of his many responses to the threats, this one coming on Tuesday, September 2, Mayor Johnson responded by blaming Trump, the GOP, and red states for crime, claiming that it is their lax attitude towards firearm ownership and purchase that is responsible for the crime crisis in Chicago, and that any response must start there.

Beginning that angry speech blaming everyone but himself for his failure, the mayor said, “We need the federal government to stop the endless flow of guns into our state and into our city. Chicago police officers have taken more than 24,000 guns, illegal guns, off the streets of Chicago since I’ve taken office. Over 24,000 illegal guns taken off the streets of Chicago since I’ve been in office. [The police] have worked hard every single day to make our city safer, and they’ve made historic progress.”

Continuing, he blamed Trump and a few red states for the matter, saying, “However, we will never be able to end gun violence in Chicago as long as the President continues to allow tens of thousands of guns to be trafficked into our state and our city. The vast majority of guns do not come from Chicago. They are not made in Cook County. They are not bought in the state of Illinois. These guns come from red states. They are coming from Indiana. They are coming from Mississippi. They are coming from Louisiana.”

Then, adding yet further to that, he attacked the idea of a National Guard deployment, snapping, “And that is the harsh reality, whether Republicans like it or not, occupying our city will do nothing to solve this problem, no matter how much work we do, or how hard we work, whether it’s expanding our Detectives Bureau, investing in community violence intervention and addressing the root causes of crime, none of it will ever be enough until the president decides to end the mass trafficking of guns in our city.”

Concluding, he snapped, “For every gun that the Chicago Police Department fights to get off the streets, two or three more new guns come into our city. Chicago will continue to have a violence problem. As long as red states continue to have a gun problem, shootings will continue. As long as this presidential administration continues to put politics over people.”
