In a heartwarming video, soldiers presented President Donald Trump and his First Lady, Melania, with a folded flag in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the United States Army. Almost instantly, attention went to Melanie’s understated elegance and fashion sense.
In the clip, Melania is seen wearing an elegant white double-breasted pantsuit. Alongside her, President Trump stood stone-faced in his iconic suit and red tie. Clearly affected by the seriousness of the event, Melan radiated elegance in the clip.
After the soldier walked up to the presidential couple, a soldier addressed the president and presented him with a folded flag. The soldier said, “Mr. President, on behalf of the United States Army, the Army Golden Knights, I would like to present to you this flag, which was flown over our nation’s capital in free fall during the Army’s 250th birthday celebration.”
While Melania generally has chosen to avoid direct politics and focus on charity, she decided to give her heartfelt condolences to Texas flood victims, giving a message of national solidarity and personal support after the tragic Guadalupe River flooding, which claimed over 80 lives, including many children.
However, cynical Democrats claimed that National Weather Service (NWS) staffing shortages contributed to the disaster, using the tragedy to score cheap political points. As we reported, the first lady said, “My deepest sympathy to all of the parents who lost beautiful young souls. Deepest sympathy from all of us to the community, to everybody who lost a loved one. We are grieving with you. Our nation is grieving with you.”
Building on this point, the elegant Mrs. Trump added, “We just met with the wonderful families. We pray with them, we hug, we hold hands. They share the stories. And I met beautiful young ladies. They gave me this special bracelet from the camp in honor of the all of the little girls that they lost their lives.”
Concluding her speech, she gave her sympathies to the victims of this tragedy, saying, “So we are here to honor them and also to give support. And I will be back, I promise to them, and I just pray for them and giving them my strength and love.”

However, infamous journalist and anti-Trump activist George Stephanopolis chose to use the disaster to attack the president. He alleged, “There were significant staffing shortfalls to the National Weather Service’s offices in the region,” repeating tired Democrat lies.
Reacting to this wild claim, Greg Waller demolished this baseless claim. He said, “The NWS forecasting offices were operating normally at the time of the disaster… We had adequate staffing. We had adequate technology. This was us doing our job to the best of our abilities.”
Watch Melania wow the crowd here:
Additionally, Ryan Maue, a popular weatherman, declared that Stephanopolis’s remarks were “Grotesque misinformation. NWS in Texas had extra staff on duty and did their jobs admirably, as always… Democrats are leaning hard into narrative that National Weather Service in Texas botched the forecasts and warnings, leading to worse loss of life during the flood tragedy…Gross… Inexplicable why Democrats are continuing this political narrative when they know … and everyone knows … the National Weather Service performance was exemplary. There is no evidence to the contrary.”
